sapper756 Posted July 24, 2013 Author Report Posted July 24, 2013 getting dark now , so I don't expect anymore tonight, 16/51, so still 35 missing hope for more to return tomorrow spoke too soon, 1 just dropped onto the loft at 10pm, so now 17/51. still 34 missing.
JohnQuinn Posted July 24, 2013 Report Posted July 24, 2013 spoke too soon, 1 just dropped onto the loft at 10pm, so now 17/51. still 34 missing. I'm sure a lot more will drop in over the next day or 2 Brian, but i think your gonna be a few down too. On the upside the one's who work their way back will be hard to lose after this. I do hope your losses are minimal though. atb John.
sapper756 Posted July 25, 2013 Author Report Posted July 25, 2013 1 sitting on the loft this morning, and another just dropped in the so now 19/51, still 32 missing I would like to point out that all youngsters missing from yesterdays toss are all wing stamped, both mine and fifers. one positive I can take from this experience is that every single youngster that has returned, has done so on it's own merit, so a good experience for them. could this be two of them????
clockman Posted July 25, 2013 Report Posted July 25, 2013 Was it the same place where you lost them last year? Kirkliston comes tae mind
sapper756 Posted July 25, 2013 Author Report Posted July 25, 2013 Was it the same place where you lost them last year? Kirkliston comes tae mind yes it was I always train from there, I believe they got in with the Glasgow Fed who liberated at the same time near by I don;t think there is anywhere safe nowadays, once they are liberated, all you can do is hope for the best, I was not aware there was a Fed liberating near by
sapper756 Posted July 25, 2013 Author Report Posted July 25, 2013 another 1 just dropped in, totally soaked, brave wee hen, so now 20/51
THE FIFER Posted July 25, 2013 Report Posted July 25, 2013 got 1 this morning dropped in while heavy rain and soaked so 4 out of 28, those birds had 6 tosses this side of the water so should have been no problem, I think its clashing too many young birds training, full skies,
