not at this race this year but do feel for all who have sent... get the controllers back in the seat and deal with the politics later, pigeons welfare and getting them home safely to there lofts must surely be in everybody's interests and the biggest priority right now, regardless of where they are liberated from... if this goes 'pear shaped' then it will have a knock on effect on birdages later in the season, there got to be a lot of channel doos at this 'stepping stone' racepoint as a prep race for the channel races later... these doos must get home safely :emoticon-0138-thinking:

This National has been a shambles from day one.

The marking night was so disorganised to say the least and then this.

I don't send to many National's as I enjoy Club/Fed racing more, but I'll be seriously considering sending to any National's after this.

I really do hope the birds get up tomorrow and we all get them back safely, but unfortunately the chances are I'll not see them as I'll be at work all day, can't keep taking time off just in case they get liberated.

Best of luck guys if we get up.

Colin.

So wot are we sayin here that they have held them in perfectly good weather since saturday?

Or is it the lack of reasons/info why they have held thats the prob?

Posted

This is the first inland National(outwith fed duplication races) we have ever sent to and I would say now I regret it.Really just want them home now as its causing a lot of disruption in the loft.

It was my father that put me off these inland national races for a few reasons,I took a bit of convincing but came round to his way of thinking eventually. This year however I decided to send-partly because there was a difference in our fed programme from last year which meant there was no race of 250 + miles the same weekend.

I have said this before on here and still stand by it-Without these inland nationals fed/local competition would benefit as would national channel racing

Not really related to this weekend/weeks episode I know :emoticon-0136-giggle: which will all come out in the wash

Im telling ye, if the doos get up at Cheltenham in a n.e wind, yer fked.Say goodbye to your good yins, expletive remove remember Marlborough last year in a n.e wind, now your further west.Madness, by the officials and there will be plenty of letters of complaint after the release.I have already officially objected to the race, and before any of ye start, the decision suits my loft location. Its not about that, its about whats right and fairness to everyone, the pigeons were put in the baskets with the view they would be released at Newbury, or that area.If we went to Ypres and the weather was bad in Belgium, what would you say if they took the birds to Alencon for a lib.A *expletive removed* disgrace of the highest order. Just when we were getting rid of the bad smell of cheating in the SNFC, we shoot ourselves in the foot.
