charcoal capsules from Holland and Barrett (you need to open the capsule and empty contents down throat)

and I think you should be able to get charcoal tablets from most chemists

I would continue with the cider vinegar also (1 or 2ml direct in to crop - that is a couple of drops) but try and empty youngsters crop of stagnant water first

100 charcoal TABLETS boots the chemist £3.11 I think they were usually in the digestion section :)

Nothing wrong with the advice given above BUT should the pigeons condition suddenly deteriorate and die (or any of your other pigeons show the same symptoms) get one of to a vet asap. There's being something knocking around where pigeons drink to excess and keel over in very quick time.

yb passed away the other day. Gasping after the chacoal tab could not stand .Isolated another last afernoon due to it sitting on someones roof away from the rest refused food when i came back . Looked fine .The paper was wet all over this morning she took a dink and nothing else. I just arrived home and discover she is going the same way not standing heavy laboured breathing ?

IN MOST CASES WHEN YB'S GET UNWELL I PUT THEM IN THE BIN BEST PLACE FOR THEM IF ANYTHING IS LACKING IN MY OPINION

possibly picked up something out the gutters

with all this rain weve had everythings been disturbed

seen this myself a couple of times the birds last only 1 or 2 days

only other thing ive seen like was when some of my birds while picking about in the neighbours garden picked up either mouse poison or slug pellets

result was the same

Agree with ALF on this one. When birds start dying on you it becomes a case of making sure the others are safe. A bird as sick as that becomes a danger to the rest. Safer to dispose of it, then do a thorough clean & disinfection job throughout the whole loft.
