thats not good at all

in 2002 though we had something similar.took 65 youngsters to 15 mile for their first toss.

Only one came on time the rest worked back over 3 days.Ended up with 53

They were all sent to every race including the Combine and some went to the National.

Finished the racing with 49 of the 53

you'll lose some :( but the ones you get back in the next couple of days will be a lot harder to lose :)

Thought so - and not meaning to rub it in but that is like showing a red rag to a bull - the BOP in the area must have thought that all of their birthdays came together.

Libbing 10 together is about as many as you should lib in one 10 minute interval - even if you get hit it would be less than 20% of your entire flock that were affected.

Nonetheless, I hope that you get them all back - all the best.

Or the first 10 could be the starter, the 2nd 10 the main course and the next could be the pudding :emoticon-0136-giggle:

Nah I'm just joking I've found better returns from tossing letting them go in smaller groups

I never give youngsters first toss without a few old bids for company, Percy about or not I can't see any reason for not having them there

better taking them to elsrickle peter and get them thinking. twenty miles is not a hard ask,i would not contemplate starting my young birds under twenty miles

I think its best to keep them short for the first two or three tosses less chance of meeting the pery and i always make sure the ybs have been out first to take the sting out of them before taking them which is usually in the late afternoon.Plus add a few old ones.

Graham---why Ayr?

Are you going north this year?

For yearsI liberated from Ayr cattle market but sadly no longer as I always lose birds there.

Pity coz the wife always thought I enjoyed taking her to Ayr for the day but I had other motivation.

I hope you get more back soon.
