Tony C Posted March 4, 2011 Report Posted March 4, 2011 £180 for a kit of 6, £250 for a kit of 10........ something along these lines.
greenlands Posted March 4, 2011 Report Posted March 4, 2011 I wouldn't mind paying a bit extra for youngens if the BOP situation would drastically change, but £20 is enough to pay for racers, especially with the price of fuel and the couriers have to make a living if you're purchasing from distant fanciers.
dal2 Posted March 4, 2011 Report Posted March 4, 2011 Dont think I would buy young tae race unless breeder buyer!
gulkie Posted March 4, 2011 Report Posted March 4, 2011 £15 per youngster. there's a recession onu owe me money then
Guest BRYANBROCK Posted March 4, 2011 Report Posted March 4, 2011 Dont think you can breed youngster for less than £25.00
JohnQuinn Posted March 4, 2011 Report Posted March 4, 2011 I'd say it depends who's selling them how much they are worth.
ALF Posted March 4, 2011 Report Posted March 4, 2011 I'd say it depends who's selling them how much they are worth. YOUR RIGHT JOHN BUT YOU NEED SOMEBODY WILLING TO BUY THEM TAE
gordi.b Posted March 6, 2011 Report Posted March 6, 2011 i don,t keep a big team so i generally buy a few to race, ususally 100-150 for six
BLACK W F Posted March 6, 2011 Report Posted March 6, 2011 i think most guys pay what they can afford £25 to£35 is enough to pay for racing y/bs if your buying for the stock loft then the prices rocket i,m a gold member and i might sell some once my obligations are met off my stock birds
Shortcut Lofts Posted March 6, 2011 Report Posted March 6, 2011 All depends on what they are bred from Paul. For racing 25 - 30 but as previously stated from the main stock birds prices can rocket. All depends on what you want and what you want to do with them. Some good offers around for kits of 6 or 10 for racing. We were fortunate to buy a yb once for 12.50 and it turned out one of our best racers ever but these are a rarety now. Eamon
tiger Posted March 6, 2011 Report Posted March 6, 2011 paid 490 for 6 ybs on here and all will race or they wont be there

Just out interest why would it matter if they are aged stock birds? Plenty of winners are bred from old stock.

fletch Posted March 6, 2011 Report Posted March 6, 2011 £20 would be enough for me for racing as i cant see the point of paying large amounts to try and race them and loose them, like throwing £20 notes in the wind, for stock that diffrent
