All you want is 5 bits of wood and a few bob wires, you could make one in about 10 minutes.

Hi Brian I have a petron trap on my roundabout section and a redstart trap on my young bird section . If I was to but another trap I would defo buy the petron trap better quality and a better trap to use . IMO

The best traps i think are naked by jeff Greenaway made over here in n.ireland. They are the same traps that Geoff Kirkland has and the cost about £450 - £500 each but they are the best traps out.

Is the landing board on the outside with the ETS pad underneath.

the landing board is on the outside with the ets pad on the inside. Different people ask for different designs, i make what is requested by the fancier.

So bird when it goes in standad sputnik goes and drops inbottom and you have pad in bottom covered by ply?

Have you ever had problem with birds being missed?

if you are going to use this system, have a piece of 3-4 mm ply covering the pad to keep it clean, and also have bob wires to slow the bird down and to stop it missing the pad.

hope this helps
