Coconut nest felts are the best because they breath and bugs don't like them.

It is called the sliding door method and it Is the best way to race youngones. I would show the hens to cocks on a Friday night so they don't get over excited.

Youngbird sickness is brought on my stress. I would let run it course and if they are dying they have something else wrong with them.

now for something modern

What you got to remember is they have to be fit for training not the other way around. I would take them 15 - 20 miles up the road and have the hens there for them coming back so that every time they go In the basket they see the hen.

How many youngbirds are there in the loft and how old are they.

Twilight just enough so that they can come down a have a drink. But some of the top fanciers are doing this darken at 4pm and at 10.30 or 11.00 at night take the boards down and like them have a natural dawn.

The best traps i think are naked by jeff Greenaway made over here in n.ireland. They are the same traps that Geoff Kirkland has and the cost about £450 - £500 each but they are the best traps out.
