wages from 1981 to 2010 have gone up by x5 roughly so would guess at £1000

No no i had just left approved school.I know Matt Mullen bought a son of workman in the late seventies and a daughter of a Pigeon called Montrose combine leader, these montrose pigeons were taken off the market by massarella due to accusations of cheating by the guy that raced them i think??Matt mullen won with these workman pigeons in the club and Lanarkshire fed but matt mullen was a great motivator of a pigeon and seemed to be able to win with anything at that time.

Workman was bred in1969 his Grand Father was Champion Mick x Silver Hen.Champion Mick in turn was paired up with Silver Queen which in turn bred Champion Toey bred 1963 and was a winner of 8 first Prizes .

lanarkehire lad was that not the wilton bionic dordins that massarella got rid of for cheating

Fernside Regal and the other Fernside pigeons were also got rid of by Masserella because there was questions of where they originated from. They were supposed to be Vanhees but were they.

Yes i think you are right but there was also a family he had called the Montrose family which got taken off the market for reasons similar to the bionic dordins.Maybe someone else can help here.I remember jim cullen saying to matt mullen who bought one from montrose combine leader that he should ask for his money back from massarella but that never happened.
