Would You Recommend Gem Matrix?

Been advised to use Gem Matrix, to get better comdition on my birds.

 

I'm currently using Black & red minerals daily, with homerform every few weeks.

 

Is it worth getting?

Matrix is certainly good but far too expensive for me as the doos would just eat it as if it was food

If you like giving minerals and grit then its worth getting, birds like it and you dont throw much away like the other stuffs. I give it mine once or twice a week and lasts ages, i only pay 12 euro a large tub.

I use it all year round very good stuff i get a 5kg tub for about £8 although in some places its a tenner. Its not that expensive in the long run as you dont need to buy pickpots minerals or grit as its all in the matrix

I use Natural pickstones and add a bit of poultry spice to it.

Matrix I've tried it can't comment good or bad went back to pickstones.

£10:00 a large tub.

i have used it found it ok but i use another brand it comes in a red bucket not sure the make

The birds love it......... my pocket doesn't. I mix it 50/50 with mixed grit to cheapen it up.

i,m the same my doos love it . why not get it from bamfords it,s £7.83 for a 5kg tub .

Why not mix your own. Grit,crushed pickstone,clay block,minerals n a small amount of condition seeds mixed together.

yep great stuff a pinch 3 or 4 times a week per bird ors

teaspoon in each nest box per day when rearing

 

making your own will require aniseed and not worth it to save a quid plus they dont like it as much, its £8.25 a large tub if you get 4 from gem direct the carrage is £5 for the lot delivery in 2 days

 

canker is spread via mineral and grit pots left in the loft ,you dont have this problem with matrix
