frank-123 Posted May 23, 2009 Report Posted May 23, 2009 looks like the peregrines have had a good day teaching there young to hunt
Novice Posted May 23, 2009 Report Posted May 23, 2009 As far as I can see returns in Ayrshire are diabolical. I timed at 12:38 from a 08:00 lib at wakefield. I waited 40 minutes for my next bird. The first pigeon was absolutely soaked and brought 3 strays with him. The strays are still on a neighbour's roof drying out.
robbiedoo. Posted May 23, 2009 Report Posted May 23, 2009 sent 41 to tow law 202 mile 8 to come doos doing a mile a minute .
Guest Posted May 23, 2009 Report Posted May 23, 2009 best time in uddingston 10 35am returns bad 17/39
dava Posted May 23, 2009 Report Posted May 23, 2009 dont think it was just the hawks bart causing the ERATIC RACE to many feds liberating at roughly the same time within a small radius this causing a lot of clashing just hope they learn from it.
tyson Posted May 23, 2009 Report Posted May 23, 2009 last week at wakefield midlothian had bad race due to peregrines attacking at lib alot of birds back injured

blaz Posted May 23, 2009 Report Posted May 23, 2009 last week at wakefield midlothian had bad race due to peregrines attacking at lib alot of birds back injured last week i was down 3 and not too happy about it when i asked some members in club last night 7 down 10 down 14 down plus 2 members did not get a bird back one sent 6 the other i am not sure of.i have been told that their is a peregrines nest not 2 mile away from the lib site at wakefield. not that this is the only factor but it is definitely one of them.
Guest Posted May 23, 2009 Report Posted May 23, 2009 Now up to 13/22 Lanarkshire should never have been at Wakefield, the poor returns are not down to peregrines. It is all down to the fact that there was no race last week and then the jump to Wakefield. It should have been Ripon today another poor decision. :(
Guest Gareth Rankin Posted May 23, 2009 Report Posted May 23, 2009 1st 2nd and 3rd in club with 560 birds away at 10.57 not at the races with other clubs in the fed, returns are 46 from 68 away, all experience pigeons are home and the ones that are to come are yearlings that have very little experience because of the structure of Lanarkshire fed race program. Was it the Hawks or Clashing ???? don't know but it was one hell of an erratic race.
