Guest bigda Posted January 26, 2010 Report Posted January 26, 2010 the good thing about the agm is, with it been held in the lanarkshire they will be able to dominate the procedings in the direction of where the birds will fly from, in the inland races. hopefully you will all agree
Guest bigda Posted January 26, 2010 Report Posted January 26, 2010 im not a member danny im a member of the other one (the snrpc) why not, every one else flys the 2 ;D

maverick Posted January 26, 2010 Report Posted January 26, 2010 The S.N.F.C WAS STARTED TO PROMOTE DISTANCE RACING INTO SCOTLAND with which the scots were proud of setting standards in distance races over 500 miles
hotrod Posted January 26, 2010 Report Posted January 26, 2010 why not, every one else flys the 2 ;D not everyone danny but some . and to answer the first part im not a member of the shu so cant be a member of the snfc . although i used to be for many a year and was also on the committee for the last two years before the split.
glencameron Posted January 26, 2010 Report Posted January 26, 2010 For example if I where a shopkeeper ………… I run a traditional camera shop, dedicated to the pursuit of high quality images developed from film cameras. It is a lofty ambition specializing for the purists. If for some reason, however, despite what is said by the customers in winter time “I only believe in true shots from film cameras†,etc, the balance sheet appears to indicate I only make a profit on so called lightweight digital camera’s should I take the moral stance this is a purist camera shop or face the reality my pursuit is actually being in some way part funded by the selling of digital camera’s or do I just decide to go bust and stop selling the digital cameras ? My belief is the shopkeeper would be grateful he could guarantee to keep his shop open and be grateful he can still participate in his specialism for which he founded the shop (He may even give a cynical smile when selling the digital cameras but …) Indeed if you keep some digital camera owners happy you may just spur an interest in “real†photography and they will also invested in the film camera. I do think people have forgotten this is a sport crying out for modernisation, economies of scales. To some extend classic racing is a form of the future. Personally I would rather all races over 300 miles where nationals (or at least combine races)

hotrod Posted January 26, 2010 Report Posted January 26, 2010 pay the £20 and sit on there coat tails for a few years then make up yer mind no thanx danny im very happy wher i am mate :) :)

walterbmasson Posted January 26, 2010 Report Posted January 26, 2010 hotrod it looks like the short races is going to take over there is no long distance doos left due to the sprint but you mention the birdage what has that got to do with snfc its a national open for the members that want to fly the distance feds managed to race inland all the time before the foot and mouth bird flue that is when the constution ended because they were getting the same prase as a bird flying the french races realy there is no change just put the NATIONAL BACK TO STATUS QUO SURLY COMBINES can take over inland races
clyde Posted January 26, 2010 Report Posted January 26, 2010 The S.N.F.C WAS STARTED TO PROMOTE DISTANCE RACING INTO SCOTLAND with which the scots were proud of setting standards in distance races over 500 miles ur right john
soapy Posted January 26, 2010 Report Posted January 26, 2010 hi walter you got your opinion and i got minewhy should the tail be wagging the dog , to say that stopping the inland nationals is gonna increase the birdage in french races isnot the case , i for 1 wont be going to french races and majority of my club didnt go to any last year your statements are a bit speculative i think, seems like you think if snfc was to stop inland nationals we woul be forced to send ours to get a decent programme , a bit selfish i think
dal2 Posted January 26, 2010 Report Posted January 26, 2010 surely we are a club that can facilitate all our members needs. The inland races do pay for themselves and if thats wot the punter wants so be it. If yer a distance man then you enter the distance races and enjoy jmo.
