I think the value of the old ways have been discarded by many, in the name of progress, but the progress is indeed doubtful. Life nowadays is too fast, pigeons should be enjoyed as a leisure pursuit at a leisurely pace.

Some would say 38 for the area you describe, assuming a 6 foot headroom, but YB's during summer probably crowd out in the aviary. I think the most important is whether they are happy enough and are keeping good health. Robert, I will help out with your air quality any time. Just send the excess YB's to me. :D

The good thing about this place is that my daughter lives just across the road, come the end of February, so she could pop over and collect anything I needed and bring it to me on Saturday / Sunday dinner when the wife and I have a hoosefu.

Went to the saddlery today. The oils you mentioned are called Omega Oil and 5L costs £25. It is Soya oil, Hemp oil and Flaxseed oil. There were some good products in there. Seaweed powder, I used to give this to my dogs. CLO, ACV, Garlic Powder, Brewer's Yeast, etc. I know Gibbs do all of these, but this is closer and if their prices were comparable, if you were so inclined it could be a good alternative. I do use ACV, Oils and have used brewer's Yeast in the past.

This is sold by a guy who made products for the chicken industry. Some of his friends asked him if he could design some pigeon products. This was one of his earlier ones. I think it is an attempt at an avian "red cell".
