  1. Good to know you are still keeping on keeping on. Hope you have a great season and all these jealous hens race their pants off for the cock they are returning to. Some lucky cocks with 3 hens fighting over them. Lots of fun for you, locking hens in while another is locked out, etc, etc. I'm sure you'll have these hens buzzing for you.
  2. Does Matrix have a high salt content? If so, does that induce drinking? If so, have they had too much Matrix, drank too much water and thus caused their soft droppings? Is it perhaps the high moisture content in the air at this time of year causing the droppings to be softer? Just some initial thoughts without going into the many other possibilities.
  3. Happy birthday.
  4. Good morning all.
  5. SHU doesn't list Littlehampton as a race-point. The last listed is no 382, so Littlehampton could be 383 if they get in quick enough.
  6. Good morning all.
  7. Latebreds this year again, so no breeding till around June / July.
  8. I have a 2010 cock whose sire came from George in 2009. I bought two, but they both turned out to be cocks. Neither are still with me and neither left anything in the loft, except this one cock whose dam came from Mike Binnie. I have his dam left from the pigeons Mike gave me and a son of one of Mike's cocks. That cock has been paired back to his aunt and several are beginning to show well. The George Gauld cross still hasn't produced anything, although he has been paired to several hens. He was the second pigeon I managed to time out of Thurso. I have three in the loft from him. Two of last year's latebreds when he was paired to a Frank Baillie hen and one when he was paired to Rab Anderson's old Red Walkinshaw hen. I'll find how the latebreds fare this year, the other one raced out to 130 miles after suffering two bad races, one at 100 miles and the other was her return at 130 miles. She obviously was rushed into that one, so I still don't have the measure of her yet.
  9. I have a 2010 stock hen that I started racing two years ago as a 3YO. I don't send her that far, only out to 130 miles. I also have some George Gauld pigeons, but they haven't been tested properly yet.
