This is at the early stages just now. The joint effort has been given this name for reference purposes, it is only a name, no need to get technical about it. I don't know how much joint conveying there will be, but a joint liberation means lots of pigeons flying into the same general area, safety in numbers I presume. I have RPRA measurements and my current SHU measurements are only a couple of yards different. I have not yet been measured by SHU under the new system. Glasgow and South Lanarkshire (RPRA) and Ayrshire and Lanarkshire (SHU) are all I know of at this time who intend to have joint liberations. The race points are (Otterburn, Wetherby, only some Feds joint for these) Retford, Melton Mowbray and Peterborough, for the full Amalgamation, albeit Ayrshire have decided to go with the National on the Peterborough week, but they will be making provisions for their members who wish to go with the Amalgamation. This has been spoken about over the last two years, I think Mr John Quinn first mooted the idea, and in my opinion, it is good that it is happening. It is just a pity that it has taken three years to reach this stage, but it is progress nevertheless.
