  1. I'd agree with that. 7 of us have chipped in a £5er each and I'll put it on here when I get it.
  2. I wouldn't take them till late evening. We don't start our young birds till 25th. My old uns are still going until 1st of August BBC Bordeaux. I often start mine on a saturday evening but they went yesterday as I'm off work for a few days.
  3. I've used Ivermectin for some time. I've also used Duramitex. I kind of feel you have to change your treatments occasionaly, so I've been using other wormers. Trouble is I've got moths and lice now. I know Ivermectin will get rid but !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks for the help. I've been Rugby Leicester and Coventry without finding the stuff.
  4. Thanks for that. Only you live in a part of the country where there are pigeons. Here after seaching high and low I couldn't find any. Thanks. Pete.
  5. If the cock is chasing the hen, she should be in the nest, if she is, may be she has gone barren. If she sits in the nest a lot, you could try putting an egg under her in the evening and see if she sits it.
  6. Does any body use it and where can I get it please
  7. I take mine 12 mile and it's the only place I ever train from first toss last toss Bath or Tarbes
  8. I have two hens paired to on cock and they have been like this all year, at the min I have a youngster hatched in the nest and both hens sat on it. Earlier in the season I took one pair of eggs away. With three birds sitting four eggs I wouldn't see any problem with them hatching and feeding. Tiz some thing I've not let happen however as I have enough, but !!!!!
  9. I pair when most have weaned and they didn't race till June. I wouldn't dream of having youngsters in the pen eggs or driving for a cock for me. My whole team will be going to Bordeaux on the 1st of August on eggs but I'm only sending 1 cock and 7 hens tiz my whole team.

Fantastic flying. Better than my 18 days from Palamos last year. LOL ;D ;D ;D ;D
  11. Bought one and two years later bought another. So I like mine. One 10 ft young bird and 12 ft old bird.
  12. Mate the distance your pen needs to be from propperty is down to your council. I know here in Rugby it is 6 feet as the council came round to inspect. I don't know weather it was Warwickshire or Rugby probably the later. Best o' luck. Pete.
  13. Well I can't see it all being down to weather. My race birds came well 100% returns at 180 mile but ???????? I let 25 young uns go at 5 pm and had just 5 back by dark. By some real weired coincidence all 5 are whites. 2 dutch Delbars 1 Logan and 2 Buscheaarts. Had fly aways years ago, but why all the race birds and not the whites. The 2 Peregrins from the cement works were fighting over head on sunday but ?????
  14. I've a bird with a non fancier at a place called upper hartfield any one help 07834 811322 Thanks Pete
  15. Great sport this. Realy makes you realize how tough life can be. ;D ;D ;D. So why do we do it again. ;D ;D ;D ;D Hope you get some more back.
  16. He's right Ben. Nice to see you're back mind.
  17. Nice to know things are going better for you now. This stud has had problems this year. How ever I personaly think they have been a great service to the fancy over the years. Love em or loathe em if they had been rubbish they wouldn't have been around so long.
  18. Thats right keep any body out who you don't agree with. CALL YOURSELF A SPORTSMAN.
  19. One loft should mean one loft and they should not be let go with other birds in any circumstances, unless we are talking Barcelona.
  20. Just got in a stray. (let 27 out and the Mrs gets in 30) She's got to do better ;D SU 07 F 9353
  21. I've taken birds nearly to their home loft, many times, and some are most grateful. One bird from Radstock I took to Frome twice. The fancier concerned started losing his hair saying I'd been training it. The bird returned here again for the third time and funnily enough I'd lost his details. Some are a pleasure to deal with, but many are not. I will always do my best to help but why are some so bl**dy rude. Tiz such a shame when you try to help, and then find the people you're helping, are so ignorant.
  22. Roland : You may well be right but ! I use live yoghurt and tiz slightly acidic, this acidifying the gut along with cider vinegar is why I use it. Works fine by me.
  23. So you've bought in new stock and one dies. You open him up and find he looks just like the pigeon in the Colin Walker book, full of kanker. What would you do??????????????/
  24. Ivermectin or Moxidectin, either will do, and are recomended by the vet Colin Walker
  25. My late breds will be coming out to race in June
