  1. You could do a lot worse than look at the British Barcelona Stud. It aint a profit making organisation ( Profits for club funds ) They are all bred from members top birds. Bought a little hen myself bred from NFC Pau winner and BBC Palamos winner.
  2. Yea bought myself a late bred from BBC stud. Not every one is out to rip you off. When I dispose of stock I only sell good stock. If it aint good enough for me it wont go to any one else. You'll never build a good name selling your rubbish !!!!!!!!!!
  3. Sorry I missed you Mick. I didn't miss the BBC stud mind Bought nearer to the tree than ever Should I say the wife did. ;D
  4. Good on ya john. That will be better for me too. What happened to Lamballe?
  5. I always tell the better half to shoot me if I start keeping more than 50 ;D
  6. Yes I have her address if you want some but she is in Nelson if you can get a courrier.
  7. Tarbes international BICC or NFC this time. Got the Palamos cock and and 4 two year olds that flew 515 last year as yearlings. But then I started the season 2 years ago with 3 cocks to race. 2 went to Palamos. ;D
  8. Still gonna use my clock, seconds count for little at 600 mile plus. Still looking for my first bird to clock in the internationals though.
  9. To clock in the Tarbes international. Got some likely candidates.
  10. Joe's gonna win cos the young girls are gonna vote for a pretty boy no matter, he has no presence in his voice. Stacey for me.
  11. Mate your better off with word 2003 if you have it but you'll be needind word wrap
  12. I have two ecco sheds and my mate has blakes. His blew down and I'm happy with mine thanks.
  13. Mate try red rose lofts and slugmonkey. Linda's a good girl she'll know
  14. Is it me. I have a cock with similar markings, a grizzle but he is more black and white, than grizzle. I've bred many barless mealy's and taken 2nd sec 20th MNFC with one. I aint parting with my grizzle but to be honest, the pictured bird looks a real cracker.
  15. Getting good info is like pulling hens teeth but this aint a bad place to start. Pigeon health and management by Dr Colin Walker. Long distance pigeon racing by John Clements. Without the first book me thinks I'd be still looking for my first 600 miler let alone 750 miler
  16. Hi Guys Jack Jack seems to be the man as he's offered the full price thanks
  17. A member of our club is getting rid of all his old birds as he is suffering with poor health. I've had some distance birds from him however he has 5 Rolands with Massarella pedigree's cost between £80 and £110 each and he would like £200 for the 5
  18. Funny aint it never given it a second thought. Them birds at Barcelona and Palamos will be in the basket a week without a hold over. Food for thought there me thinks. I've given up looking for distance pigeons. I was advised by our top prize winner to cull my Palamos cock. The thought at the time seemed crazy and I was right.
  19. Takes some doing that one mate. Beats my Palamos at 751 miles last year. Verified, but out of race time ( Think around 50 in race time. ) Getting 'em over the channel's a strole in the park compared to the pyrenees.
  20. Be nice if some one near could have a look where are you mate
  21. They disappear like ice in the sun if you put 'em in the early races, but if you train in may and race in june. Then you have a good chance of getting at 200 mile
  22. Reds Blacks Barless mealy's
  23. John what cross. Quality, breeding me thinks, I'd offer £50 without seeing it. You're gonna get more though. Best o' luck.
  24. The question is are we looking at distance or sprinters. If we are looking for distance 18 mile would be fine, as we are looking for birds with a good sence of direction. If we are looking for sprinters we need to teach them to home quickly, 18 mile is then too far and 10 would be enough. My own late breds will see a basket for the first time in may race in june and will go out to 270 mile.
