Well it certainly don't seem right or fair, but good birds will still perform well at the distance after several days in the basket. I'd be inclined to have some thing to say but ? Cost and time will be a major influence. I wouldn't be happy but I'd still send.

I give cider vinegar and milton on alternate days all year round. Yogurt on the food when the young have been weaned off.

Do as your vet says mate. But once you've got them healthy again you'll keep e-coli at bay by acidifying the gut. I use cider vinegar or you can use lemon juice.
