I believe Warwickshire fed went at 8 15 and had good returns. My birds were at Newbury and some of the derbyshire birds are in wales :-/ Strange as these were well east of yours.

If they are old hens they can go to the young bird races as trainers. I start my late breds either in june or with the young uns, and send 'em to the old hens national. My 07 late breds started in june and go to Bordeaux on thursday.

Well I have the Delbars and the Aardens here and thats because I love the distance. Every week in the county there are more winners in our county than fly over 600 mile races in a year. I love the distance and take my hat off to the sprint boys but ???????????

Well I never seperate, I know most do but! You either have disease control methods or you don't. I have had a bird sit on my loft for near a fortnight, coming in to eat and then go out when I go near the pen. I was looking at a transporter yesterday and the drinkers run the length on most I think. When the first bird comes back what has it brought back no matter how healthy it looks?

Yes but you'd still put your birds on the transporter, drinking from the same drinker, as the most unhealthy birds in your fed wouldn't you !

I get 'em in feed and water report immediately. Can't understand people not letting birds in, yet every week they put there birds in a crate with others. Transporters have drinkers serving several crates at a time.

Think once this happens tiz too late. I don't believe in culling normally but, this is one time I would have to. Sorry to put a downer on it, but many on here seem to cull at will and I don't. Change the grit every five days pick stones and shellfish grit will prevent this but not cure it.

My goals a few years ago were. The longest race I could for young and old north and south 500 mile yearlings. Just Lerwick left to do. Been 25 years since I sent to Lerwick.
