Not sure if that looks right mate. Send me one the same and I'll try it for you

If he's been missing 3 years I bet he's done some good for some one. Stock or Bin for me no point racing him cos he'll go back
-
Kind of think they may not be aware of the routine try keeping all your young uns in and feeding them as usual with the normal call then try letting em out again
-
I'm a south road man and a couple o' years back we were faced with restrictions over the water. I trained and raced south. I turned 'em all north in to Perth and took 13th sec NRCC. Restrictions were lifted and these birds then flew Tarbes the cock that came for me from Perth was then 21st sec Tarbes. Another went on to fly Palamos the next year too. If you want to turn em, no worries but for me, I wouldn't change the training. All one way.

I've 2 grizzles and they are both planned to go to Barcelona this year indeed the cock has been Palamos before and won inland. I wish I had a loft full of 'em.

Now let me think for a nano second, under the torys I was nearly bankrupt, and unemployment they said was a price worth paying. I'm now getting on well and happy thanks. Hmmmmmmmmmm don't think I'll be voting try then.

I get very good results at 600+. I've never let a pigeon leave here if it aint good enough for me. I have never sold a bird on to get my money back. I've given birds away from my 750 mile stock. Do you have a loft full of National winners????????????????
-
So what is good enough? For me I'm looking for 700 milers. I'd be amazed to get 2 from 10. 1 from 20 would make me happy.

I know a bloke who leaves his pen open and a bag of corn on the floor but it aint for me ;D

Tiz still on the taylors choice web site

I've been using yogurt for years and that has not stopped mine getting YBS. A table spoon full of household bleach in the drinker after the first two races did though.
-
Oooooooooooooh I forgot to add thats when you look up in to an empty sky and panick for an hour or two. ;D ;D
-
Cosmic I aint started training my birds for Tarbes yet and wont much before May. Slow down let 'em roam first.
-
I was of the opinion you tend to get more white with inbreeding. Only what I've heard.
-
Makes me sad cos my lad was so much better with the birds than me, and still is, just a different sort of bird now.
-

Very sad my deepest sympathy -
Mate I'm no great flyer. I do get good returns at the real distance 500 miles+ My last line is "they'll come for me" I know they will, and I expect to clock at 500+ I aint set the world on fire but then I only have 6 pairs of racers, so expecting to clock at Tarbes international is some thing I feel quite proud and confident about. I started the season a couple o' years ago with 3 cocks I broke from my old loft. My target race was Palamos 750 miles. 1 was hawked the week prior to basketing sent two and got 1 but out of race time. Again that's a fair achievement from 3. Tiz just my opinion.

What's this about bad work men blame ther tools. If you buy from National winning lofts it gives you a chance of getting better birds. It doesn't mean they are all winners. The top lofts in the coutry still lose and dispose of birds just less than most.
-
Kenyon young 'uns huh guess you'll be looking at the distance then.
-
You must have been told exactly right. I have natural young 'uns out to 280 mile and managed 57 National as one of the longest flying birds on the sheet. You need to have your birds fit and healthy : Loft management for this one. They must be used to being on a transporter and racing from one : Club flying is fine. My old uns have had a couple o' 10 milers and will go in to racing at 122 mile about 6 or 8 inland and may be a short channel race 280/330 mile then out to Tarbes 634 mile. My young uns will have 8/10 chucks at 10 mile and in to racing may be 6 races then over the water at 280 mile BBC. Later bred young uns will not be falling apart cos they will be too young. They'll come for me.

Tony I don't think that's off subject at all. You can train 'em as much as you like but they won't all handle it the same.
-
Travel will surely affect some birds more than others, and some are sick, I would think you're dead right, some birds will rest better in the crates also. We don't only need birds than can fly long distances in good time but also birds that can stay healthy for up to a week in a crate. I think you're looking beyond the thinking of most.
