Dont know you pal but you don't half talk some sh**!!! Lorry drivers hard at work your hard at talking P***!!!
-
Clean hands policy is best wash them often. Sanitising wipes could be useful for clocks and equipment, touch points ie doors, basket handles etc but gloves are waste of time IMO
-
Possible damage from abrasion?? 'Loose feather' total loss of condition, usually form illness of some type or another
-
Be interesting to see what works best and how far you get them out to on that system. Always like some protein in mixture to develop muscle and have something to work on if they get out their ground
-
When we went into lockdown and racing was postponed they went onto higher percentage depurative.
-
Split mines few nights back... Getting 30/40 mins out of them hens ranging a bit tonight when out. Not a fan of training them either Tommy but probably give them 2 or 3 chucks from 10 miles when we get go ahead to race. Any further and I'm into Irvine Valley and its a skelping more often than not
-
Ive a youngster missing tonight... Local Sparrowhawk probably away with it
-
Im just about weaning my first round I'll flatten the birds out now an keep them ticking over hoping for some sort of old bird racing come the summer months
-
Explain how anyone is at risk!? Two guys in a lorry.
-
Can race mark pigeons with 3/4 people even at that wouldn't say they have to be in close contact. Sensible precautions in place and everyone should be safe. Antibacterial cleaning products for wiping down equipment and masks worn by everyone in premises.
-
Jesus.... If were relying on Nicola we really are f#£&d. IMO we just get on with it, if feds cancel delay/racing. Then it's private trailer and small scale club racing for the guys who want it. Simple.

Chris, having a North facing loft I'd recommend polycarbonate along top half of full front and possibly on sides to maximise light. Heavy polycarbonate atleast 16mm multiwall will help maintain decent temperature within loft
-
I've an open fronted loft facing north but I've shutters on inside of wire aviary incase of cold north winds. These are polycarbonate to allow light. Thinking of adding further polycarb on roof to allow more light. Condition of birds is first class

Only have 8 cocks and 13 hens... Currently have 6 pairs down and due for hatching over next 3/4 days. Other couple cocks not really claiming a box so will just be left now to be split after weaning

Feed, water and clean them out is the basics and yes it's the least that is required. But by doing this properly, ie. feeding good clean food and fresh drinking water keeping a dry loft then the pigeons should thrive. Meds are obviously required from time to time and supplements could help give an edge if used correctly, but we don't half complicate matters, any novice/new starts are up against it from the off with all the potions and pills in the market today. Only my opinion, and the reason I don't medicate (unless a problem arises) is I don't have a vast knowledge of different medicines/diseases etc and I don't want to as in my opinion a little bit of knowledge is very dangerous, and would rather look at the condition and performance of birds amd the seek expert advice if I wasn't happy.

There's 8 of us down from Ardeer, Ayrshire. Get some pictures uploaded of show tomorrow ðŸ‘

Flying the birds on a natural system could be an option if your limited for space, two sections would be required, one for old birds one for ybs... Golden rule don't over crowd. My old bird loft is 12ftx6ft yb loft is 8x6... I keep 10 pair old bird and approx 30 ybs

Goodnight Fernando, match at Ibrox will be very emotional tomorrow ⚽ 🇳🇱 🇬🇧

Had two earmarked but with Ayrshire only going as far as Dunbar at 90miles it's a 200 mile jump so the partner has bottled it... Wee hen is tight as a drum aswell so always gonna have that what if feeling
-
Ayrshire went at 8am at Dunbar. Another excellent race 6/6 here for 10:30 am

As already stated this is bomb proof. The best thing that can happen to pigeon racing in West of Scotland and we've been crying out for this for years. Hats off to you Paul for the vision and hard work you've put in to promote thus far
-
Fantastic string of results yet again this season. Certainly an inspiration to the rest of the fanciers in Ayrshire area and beyond. Very hard route at these races but the man time and time again up there with the best times in the country

It was a disaster, up in a South West wind they should be no where near dumfries, some being reported in Cumbria. Obviously turned by BOP. 10 hours after lib some guys had 3/41 1/26 2/20. My small team is decimated currently 4/12 haven't had a bird since midday yesterday

Class act, well done speedy
