    Drinkers

I use the ones from pallats... Hinged tops and dowelled sides so can keep grit pots etc neat and tidy and free from droppings, solid aswell with coating on top surface stops any water damage.
  5. Used it until recently and felt it helped towards keeping them in top condition and great feather... Will be changing from it to try a few different products as part of programme for racing season... Will probably go back to CV/garlic for moult and winter
  6. Ramp hens, make sure the weights off them... Providing the cocks have been in boxed section over winter they should claim box and mate up no problem. Healthy doos pair easily
  7. Only keep 8/10 pair so have to breed some atleast to replace losses, as we should have some races. Don't breed too early though as don't want them too far on primaries come target races.
  8. Hope you've not got a genie in a lamp 🙈
  9. Rangers sat in and let celtic build momentum... thought the gers centre half's made some solid blocks and played well. Sending off changed it but was red card all day long and after that rangers managed the ball alot better. Champions in waiting now and fully deserved

  11. Some of the groups starting to become very interesting going into final round if games
  12. Something lacking when they were reared leaving a weakness in digestive system??? Total guess as I've limited knowledge in disease/infection problems, any mine go off their quarantined and they have a couple days to pick up or they're gone... They or their offspring probably the first ones to go down when get a hard day. Again just an opinion as you've had this thread running and nobody seems to have found a 'cure'

  18. Lot 17 £70 please
  19. Is the West route a life lesson for future national racing Walter? Given last few years west of Scotland federations have been flying more east of Central programme, does it stick with them when breaking for home from the Channel do you think. I'm of the opinion a fit motivated pigeon will break and take most direct line regardless of schooling!?
  20. Distance pigeon all day.. nice full round cere
  21. Had one on 17th September she'd been out over two weeks
  22. Started the season with 18 birds either yearlings or inexperienced 2 year olds, of those 18 I have 10 left, my aim was to test them and race them out. Our federation only went as far as melton Mowbray so I'm happy to have had that into most of them, got 2/3 from Maidstone national. I've only a handful of birds but atleast everyone has earned there perch, gives me confidence that I can now go and prepare them for selected races next season knowing they can do the course and distance to use a horse racing term. My philosophy is if fit and healthy they go, I breed from all my racers as I've no stock pigeons so the no users must be weeded out before I start taking more no users from them. Again our federation had a couple of real sore ones with big losses so think the race programme/route will be up in the air again
  23. Started training 30 disposed of two when had YBS... Had about a dozen private tosses then 5/6 group tosses from 30 miles, raced out to 170 miles with federation and 5/6 midweek races from 46 miles. Left with 10 of the 30. Some guys stop birds but I race them out... having no stock pigeons and only look to keep 8/10 pairs old birds I can't afford to stop any and only want to breed from the survivors. Our federation had couple of real bad races and my view is that something must change regards route/Race points time of year but that's a whole other debate. As for results I had a few prize cards here and there. Performing well percentage wise. I'm not sending ybs to win as such more to discard the weak ones and educate and strengthen the others. View going forward will be same again but probably did throw a couple away at the final race that had gone in moult etc but if they had guts and brains they'd be here.
  24. Thanks will look into that
