Peter I think you will agree a lot depends who is handling the birds at marking night,i have seen some bumpers in my time and the only thing they should be allowed to handle is between their legs,saying that at SNFC basketing they are fine handlers of a pigeon imo.

Yes Ian,well aware of what goes on and have been there,but it still goes on but happy to be in a club that told Derek he would be more than welcome to join us but as it would mean quite a travel for him it was not feasible,glad to say our members would have been over the moon to have a top flyer like Derek to fly against,i will not name our club,that says it all.

When you read last weeks 26 2 16 BHW Alton HS in the Staffordshire fed disbanded and 8 members applied to their nearest club which was well within the radius only 2 members were allowed in the rest have no other fed to fly in,this is something we see to many times so think we should be trying to keep our own kind in the sport and get our own house in order and then try and get new blood interested.

I asked a fisherman friend of mine Walter why he married the most ugly wummin in the world his answer was,i know that but shes full o worms.

Years ago I asked one of Ayrshires finest Big Jock Campbell of Dalry what was his best ever racer and he told me it was the most ugly bassa in his loft with a keel like a corkscrew,boy could he race a doo,says it all imho.
