That is the one ! When all the birds are loaded, he can then replace the ones he doesn't want back into their section. This way, the birds get used to the routine of being hampered and will eventually settle down. ATB, Steve

Lads, that is just super information - thank you all ! The bird I have is indeed a son of GG Granson of "Freckles" - as evidenced by his pedigree. I am amazed at the reverence that he is obviously held in as a fancier and thank you all for your input. Some other details from the pedigree...... In his Pedigree are the following Cormack birds ; GG Grand Parents - Lyrona Freckles & Lyrona Barny, and the Dam was Lyrona Dainty Three There are the followuing Telfer birds there too ; A GG Grand sire was Cara SRN, Grand Parents Cara Ode and Cara Gold Medal, the Sire being Cara Quatrain. He is an '07 bird. Many thanks again,I may well go looking for those telephone numbers. Steve

Hiya, Bought 2 lofts on my return to the sport in 2010. One was a "Mark & Paul" loft (Manchester) - 20', 3 sections with corridor and a tiled apex roof. Was approx. 15 years old I'd say when I got it, cost me £400. I also bought a 40' x 8'secondhand Blakes loft from a former member on here. It was just 4 years old. Full corridor, 5 dowelled sections and a corunduline apex roof for £1350. There is plenty of value out there if you look hard enough and transportation is normally easy enough to organise if the loft is originally sectionally built. Cheers, Steve

Whether you believe in the possibility or not I will leave up to yourselves, but Bilco posted on another site about a solar storm which was due to affect us between the 12th and 16th of April. Not the first time that this sort of thing has coincided with a warning about happenings of a Solar nature. Hope you get them all back, Steve

€ 11.00 here in Donegal for 25KG which sounds to be better value than that - surprisingly ! Organic too :-) Steve

Congrats to England on their win. Ably helped by the most inept and one-sided refereeing performance ever seen on a 6 nations pitch Helped also by the even more inept Phillipe Saint Andre - where did he get those substitutions from ? Only Wales can now stop the Chariot.......If Wales can get a homer of a ref maybe they will have a chance  Steve

Excellent ! LOL Well put indeed sir Steve

I've seen a male Percy do it 3 birds - all hens - in a row before I managed to dissuade it ! The day it got the 3rd bird, I followed to where it landed and frightened it off the carcass, whereupon I found the heads of my two other hens and some of their entrails, which it had removed prior to "parcelling" them and carrying them back t the sitting hen ! Steve

Great offer fella - well done ! Steve
