Friends from Lancashire who were up visiting this morning have just returned home and rang to say the weather is ok all the way down country with lighter winds down there ,shocking here at present no hills visible

They will finish moulting all main flights and after the5-6th will body moult again forcing them to be stopped never been happy with them as yearlings when they do this ok as 2yo take it easy with what you regard as your best bred they will win later on in life I breed 50-50 now as do many others good luck mick .

Yes they will moult again had the same problem last year not darkened from day one and not enough hours darkness .

Very good of kenny to keep update with photo's I take it when the birds are being fed the baskets have to be pulled outward s to put food through the top if its raining all morning as stated what's the procedure as the birds and sh- would become wet the convoyers do a wonderful job but surely surely there should not be 20 per basket having to fight for water got to be 16 lads this has to be addressed

Ye missed a wee bit oot Stevie it was a west wind,A scribe stated this week that the east wind frae Newbury they landed in Ireland yet solway near on 100percent home same from Maidstone should they no have landed in Belgium in that scenario but as stated it is an easy bit to fly into lol

With the weather nowadays being so unpredictable and having more holdovers with longer in the baskets for the birds surely it must be passed at the agm that we get in line with other major organisations and demand 15-16 birds per basket ,try putting 20 doos in a section for 4-5days then clean them out and dump it in a wicker basket which they have to feed from and stay healthy to fly 500-600 miles home just cannot be achieved at present ,why 20 at present when plenty of room on the lorry .

Agree think its about 100plus miles of water am I right strong winds forecast .
