  1. Happy birthday lads 41ye old brugger lol
  2. Agree with what you are saying bobby and Derek got to be well thought through and make as much use of basket space available on the lorries ,heard someone discussing at race marking one night about what I think was a north road transporter where the basket was split down the centre allowing a trough filled with either feeding or water to be inserted and birds access full length of baskets access to water is main concern .
  3. When we get 15 accepted like all major organisations ,I will certainly not be looking for 10 or 1per basket what a statement having spoken to a highly respected convoyer he stated that some birds never get to the water with 20per basket other organisations have figured that one out I will be putting a proposal in writing for the Agm and will then take the outcome from there far to many people talking about overcrowding time that it was addressed I will care and tend for more stray birds than most and would never ever have 20 in a crate for 3-4 days let alone expect them to then fly hundreds of miles
  4. What's your views on the Scottish birds going to national races with 20 per basket especially in this heat when others go with 15 Look forward to your replies

  9. Another lovely morning
  10. Peter I have always been of the believe that when injecting birds with anything we run the risk of creating A problem . If a problem has occurred please do the following without fear of failure . Add 1/2 a teaspoon of Virkon S to a gallon of drinking water for 48 hrs Put 1Gallon of water in a clean bucket then add 1/2 teaspoon of Virkon S and most importantly stir very well add to the drinker it will stop the spread of disease and on most occasions cure then give vitamins for 2-3 days I have had yb's sit on the loft roof in the past not quite sure what to do when all avenues have been tried this solution has came up trumps and a team that did not won't to fly did so with no persuasion .(ps think this weather has a lot to answer for ) Wish you well Atb Mick
  11. Glad you are happy with the way things have turned out but in all honesty you must set your goals or last you may end up most weeks ,Have club mates said well done or have they said you need to start working a system to improve because unless you do things will not improve ,I am not shooting the feet from you but why loose birds from the loft top are fellow members not asking why ? I get very frustrated when I see new starters trying their best and not receiving proper advice ,I visited A top fancier many years ago and left his loft as if I had visited M15 ,Stick in improve no one is unbeatable Good Luck Mick
  12. Absolutely fantastic , both you and the bird Tam came up 110 percent Now time for an easy life me Thinks

  15. Surely with today's technology the manufacturers should be able to build in a system whereas the loft number could not be transferred had this happen on more than one occasion sad people about , Ps glad your doos home atb mick
  16. The peregrine site is only 500yds to the east watched the mother and her young a week past Sunday ,the young are flying as well as the adults at present they have used these pylons for years now the worst pair that Walter and myself have to deal with,I have asked on many occasions for the pair to be moved to a new location this could be done quite easily when they net the adults to ring the young this has to be done at this site as it is a very very steep gourge ,have been told see what they can do but you guessed they do fek all ,A nightmare pair with the extra pylons now even worse watched 24-7.

The wee second day doos are very reluctant to work the hills as they are such easy prey at this time of year with the juveniles being trained hence as many injuries we just never know how close a good doo could have been on the shift
