With marking tomorrow night how many are fellow members sending and do you really fancy one if so why ? I have 2 going blue yearling that has been set up for the job in hand first time I have entered a yearling in the gold cup race since I started in 1972 think that says how highly I rate the wee doo Also 3yo red hen that I am positive will make the clock contains the blood of a certain red rocket whom a gentleman on this forum will have fond memories of,Good luck to all (ps)hope I don't come over as to confident but after 40years in the doo game I know when they are right .
  5. Very true solway only 150 away to Maidstone ,west birds win on a west route east birds win on a east route with Portsmouth being centre of the south coast surely that's where our national should be from plenty of time for all birds to get on there line and fair to all .
  6. The air ambulance is on its way she's being transferred to Yolkhill in Glasgow
  7. Nasty wind here all day and no let up tonight I didnae send the wee hen because of forecast of to alencon instead good luck lads
  8. Alan mate are you referring to the weather being dry in Hamilton or yersel
  9. Dry at the moment but not looking to good
  10. Jimmy Graham's (clintpark) on Elimar site regarding solway report on Newbury near on 100percent returns and with 5500 away at Maidstone don't seem unpopular to me,Would be really happy if the people who wanted to race the channel do so by all means and the others who enjoy inland racing are allowed to do so ,seems the one,s that are trying to upset the apple cart don't even compete which I canny get the old grey matter around ,The inland races are not affecting the gold cup but as someone in a previous post stated its Ypres that is killing the birdage we have not had a bad race from there yet but like everything else it will come ,just wish for the good of the pigeons people would stop altering programme's and just send to their preference .

Hope it turns up for you,let my 2hens out as per usual to stretch there wings and the wee devils raced the sky for 65minutes not happy with them far to long to fly with basketing Tuesday they will now be confined to barracks for the weekend ,good luck
  14. Can,t understand fellow members trying to belittle the snfc we the members are the Scottish national flying club with the committee we have voted for always doing their upmost for the better meant of everyone, being a business owner and adhering to health and safety all petrol chemicals and Likewise substances including there containers must at all times be stored in a secure place of keeping under lock and key which in this case clearly did not happen if taken to a court of law the Scottish national flying club would be vindicated 100percent .
  15. Having like many others read the posts I feel genuinely sorry for the fancier who has made a mistake whilst trying to do his best for the pigeons if they had been mine I would have asked for them to be withdrawn from the race and taken home to fight another day as long as we have our health all other issues are insignificant if something can be learned from this regarding the provision of drinking utensils time to move on ,good luck to all who entered .

    How Often.

Made the mistake last year Alex by not sending to many of the early races because of the cold east winds defo did not do the birds any favours this year back to the norm went to the first 6 races regardless and then set them up for required races always give them two weeks rest before a national no training whatsoever just motivation and fed properly but as you well know nothing works if you ain't got good pigeons in perfect health everyone to their own what works for me may not for others good luck for rest of the season ,mick .
  17. Morning all, That's me having a cuppa before heading out to work all birds tended to ,various jobs today including replacement glass.
  18. Let the two hens out for a fly that are being prepared for forthcoming nationals and the last two nights instead of getting on with my chores have sat and watched them as. They gained height fixed the binoculars on them as they raced the sky,s was very fascinated to observe although they were flying as a team one was only putting in half the work of the other yet staying with it or in front do any of you observe this or do you think the wife,s spiked ma coffee cheers mick
  19. Sending one a three year old red hen primed and ready for the off says she.,s not bothered what the weather is ,good luck to all that take part .
