Seems to be a common trend reading about the marathon men in Holland the use of cheese, any of our basic members use it, or experience of using it?

you would think cheese would be to rich of a dairy product for pigeons mind u my african grey loves a wee drop of milk and he is about 35 yrs old so maybe does work, would imagine it would be mixed in with there food in small amounts but personally i have never try it out .

CHEESE !!, Wee Mary hates the stuff as I have her grate enough Cheddar every Saturday to last 7 days, Mix 1 Tablespoon of grated Cheddar to their daily feed and they are friends for life, Mine have it every day and are in superb condition.. even feeding youngsters in the nest..

ask the guys that are feeding cheese and other crap what they win as with all feeding fads we tend to lose the plot or grasp at straws if your birds are not good enough it matters not what you feed them

It was just an observation from reading Walter, these guys have top results at the distances but they also have exceptional pigeons and internationally famous names in the game.

People are laughing as if he’s suggesting feeding the doo’s rat poison! I’m sure once upon a time the old hands would have laughed at us not just feeding beans 24/7! Good to keep an open mind guys. Cheese is full of calcium & protein and vitamins too like B12 etc etc, the health benefits are endless. I’m guessing if its mainly distance guys maybe it’s to do with the high fat content?

hang up a bit cheese and the birds will pick at it, another thing we used to hang in the loft was a lump of rock salt, we went round the fields as farmers had it hanging on fences for their cattle, and got nice big lumps,

Think more what Walter ment was cheese won't win you the race without the bird having the required ability ,

I think no matter what you feed and the bird does the business well done you , I have tic beans in front from a month before but others won't ! So each to there own .

The question Wiley asked was does anybody use cheese and what benifits so unless you use it you won’t know the benifits of it and I know it won’t make a bad pigeon good

i know what your saying wiley and with good pigeons i think you can feed almost anything and win with them as has been proven many times knew a man that fed his birds crushed dog biscuits and won well on it and yet others feed on the best money can buy and do nothing with them good pigeons and good fanciers win races on almost any decent feed i think we lose the plot a bit when guys come out with all these fads its deff not helpful to someone trying to learn the pigeon game but thats the doo game pal atb to you

We could say that about every supplement or potions that fanciers use in the game, everyone believes what they give their birds achieves something. I pick up the pigeon book every week and novices must be the same and see what supplement fancier X gives, it’s one reason why novices that listen to too many sources don’t progress as the chop and change things, instead of sticking to one plan.
