paddymac Posted June 26, 2017 Report Posted June 26, 2017 Just watched the lib,I would,nt go a 10ml training toss in that, never mind a 400=500 ml race,That is not the NIPA transporter or their liberation from St. Malo. That is one of the smaller organisations from Southern Ireland.
REDCHEQHEN Posted June 26, 2017 Report Posted June 26, 2017 But were they not 'all up together'paddymac?
paddymac Posted June 26, 2017 Report Posted June 26, 2017 But were they not 'all up together'paddymac? Not sure about that one, the four organisations I mentioned earlier on this thread were conveyed on the NIPA transporter and liberated together.
novo10 Posted June 26, 2017 Report Posted June 26, 2017 That was a fkn shambles they doos shouldn't have been lobbed ass holes
showman Posted June 26, 2017 Author Report Posted June 26, 2017 Just checked their site , still nothing new !Not even an acknowledgement there may be a problem !
paddymac Posted June 26, 2017 Report Posted June 26, 2017 Just checked their site , still nothing new !Not even an acknowledgement there may be a problem !Paul the problem was the fog on the channel that no-one predicted, not even the weather stations picked up on it. Every fancier that sent knew that the westerly wind would be hard on the birds on their journey home and most expected a tough race. Most of the convoy didn't even reach the English mainland and instead headed for the channel islands and thats as far as they would got with their route home hampered by fog. There are plans on-going to try and retrieve most of these birds and get them shipped into Plymouth, what happens after that I'm not sure.

Delboy Posted June 26, 2017 Report Posted June 26, 2017 Paddymac it wasn't even right at racepoint never mind the channel it was bad controlling and bad convoying because the conveyer could have told them it was low cloud expletive remove a blind man could see that it's a shame for the fanciers who sent they're cream to this race and just got chucked up in this he's already done it out of Penzance to am I correct in saying that We got the same lib at the SNFC Gold cup last year, low cloud and atmospherics. Most fanciers forgot about that and it wasn't even mentioned at the agm. We get a similar race at Bedhampton, will there be an inquiry this time ?, no bloody chance..Another year passes without a jot done to help the sport.

Penzance was another tough race with the birds facing a N/westerly wind on their journey home as like most races these days there were losses and under the conditions only the fittest birds were going to make it in race time.
BANDIT Posted June 26, 2017 Report Posted June 26, 2017 Paddy Mac have a closer look at the lib video as our birds ISRF are being libbed look to the left and these are the northern ireland birds libbed at the same time...nobody in their right mind would lib birds with full cloud cover and no sun...did anyone ring guernsey or jersey airport to find out the conditions as regards visability before libbing..we need to know who rang who and at what time and what was said about visability.

paddymac Posted June 26, 2017 Report Posted June 26, 2017 Yes the birds travelled into Scotland before crossing into Ireland. Omagh is only 30ml away and one of the training spots for Derry fanciers. Alan has timed some decent birds into Omagh over the years, top fancier.
paddymac Posted June 27, 2017 Report Posted June 27, 2017 Heres the result for those gallant wee birds that manage to get home.
