we have a Robin that visits us , must be the fattest in Scotland . he eats all the seeds discarded by the canary & finches in the avairy . Jackson insists on calling him a "robber" not a Robin :emoticon-0136-giggle:

If you have a Robin floating about your garden, its a sign that a loved one is looking down and watching you all the time, if its true is another story though.

We have one here also, not scared to tuck into the grub too. :emoticon-0136-giggle:

We have a few visit us Andy and they also wait for the discarded seeds but Fluffy took his chance on the fat ball feeder and I have never seen any of my robins do that before :D

For the first time in my lifetime I have been visited by two male robins at the fat ball feeder without a squabble out of them in fact they apeared to be the best of pals.

Mine always fight so that had been good to see :D

In research I have done before, this is what I have found "The angle of brown on the forehead which turns into the red of the face forms a 'U'-shape in males and a 'V'-shape in females. Other than that there are no real differences"

Aye John, It was only when I had the binoculars on them that they were identical in every way. I assumed that like Cock pigeons they were more rounder on the skull with Hens being slightly flatter and when they left they went in opposite directions.
