Novice Posted January 3, 2017 Report Posted January 3, 2017 Pigeon Vaccine is easy money for manufacturers. If Colombovac cannot supply the market then they either have quality problems or their plant is undersized.I fail to see why anyone would prefer them to a company which delivers on time. Both vaccines provide immunity.
podgy Posted January 3, 2017 Report Posted January 3, 2017 colombovac, will be available from Retford poultry, from the 17,th jan , , call, 01777 703011, to reserve yours, podgy

One oil based (Nobilis) and One water based (Colombovac) you missed my point. both deliver immunity. the only safety concern with oil based is if you inject yourself.

Obviously they both deliver immunity !! A further issue with oil based vaccines that I was informed of by a vet is there a more risk of a "knot" being left in the pigeon neck if administration is done incorrectly

A further issue with oil based vaccines that I was informed of by a vet is there a more risk of a "knot" being left in the pigeon neck if administration is done incorrectly the key words being "if administration is done incorrectly" . I agree wholeheartedly with that statement and one of the key factors with oil based is to have it at the correct temperature.

Kyleakin Lofts Posted January 6, 2017 Report Posted January 6, 2017 I changed from Colombovac to Nobivac some years ago now and don't even bother attempting to buy Colombovac. It is always in short supply and it is always on a short date. I just couldn't be bothered with the hassle.
