eastcoaster Posted December 10, 2016 Report Posted December 10, 2016 It was very sparse ,they need to get more stalls but it is good to meet pals from far and wide in the off season. And enjoyed the tuirlings guy s talk and the panel members wee discussion .
Upsndoons Posted December 10, 2016 Report Posted December 10, 2016 Second year I have been and I think it was better this year. Not may stall holders which does make it seem quite but the show pens in the second hall were interesting and something to look at. I went upstairs to the moot which was very polite and interesting with the guys at the front being very honest.Maybe this is something to build on for the future. Also it was interesting that there was a sheep auction was on in one of the sales rooms at the same tine so we got non fanciers looking at our stock. Seems sheep go for a hefty price too, a stud ewe went for £850 while I was watching....................who knew !!!!!!!

Delboy Posted December 11, 2016 Report Posted December 11, 2016 (edited) I enjoyed judging the 2 eyesign classes, the standards were very high imo. Very unlucky to Willie Gilchrist who took 2nd in the obs and 3rd with its daughter in the ybs. Both these pigeons couldve won the classes just the same as it was very close. The winner of the ob eyesign had won at Blackpool whilst Willies doo won the class last year, all top notch eyes Well done to all the winners :emoticon-0137-clapping:ps. Well done to Andrew Suckle winning best yb with one I put up, it was a stand out m8 Edited December 11, 2016 by Delboy

b.massey Posted December 11, 2016 Report Posted December 11, 2016 Think Jim Finnan left a bird behind Why did they allow us to leave before checking baskets if 2 birds missing??
alex wight Posted December 11, 2016 Report Posted December 11, 2016 I had a very good day, meeting new and old faces. Good to get feedback of what we are manufacturing, be it good bad or indifferent, its always something to act on to keep us at the top. I have a great interest in ALL pigeon areas, with the show pigeon guys and girls educating me along the way, its a fascinating side of the sport. 2 stalls missing from previous years, the clothing one and the floor whiting one. I myself never received any notification of the show, and do feel it needs to be advertised better, to make it even better than it is. (not knocking anyone, just an observation, as i know and appreciate how hard it is to organise such events). Hope all that attended had a great day, as did i.
