sandy25
When I use them I find it easiest to add a small pinch at a time till I aquire the desired colour (some say pinkish some say purplish) I tend to err on the pink side .Only a very small amount is needed so be careful with your pinches. Hope this helps .all the best sandy

jimbo54
Water purifier. Add two or three crystals per litre of water and stir until the colour is light pink. Allow the mixture to stand for at least thirty minutes and you have drinking water in an emergency. If possible, filter the water and also boil it. •Antiseptic: Add crystals in water and stir until it is purple. This mixture can be used to disinfect wounds as well as for fungus problems i.e. Athletic foot and other external infections.
Jim hannah
Hi Question When using Condies Crystals (potassium permanganate)in bath water. What quantity would you put in 12 litres?CheersHomer 49Its described as a very mild antiseptic, to much in the water might stain the feathers esp. white flights, don't really know if it isof any benefit to the birds. I know it was once used to put colour into fireworks.
