Yes Ryan I did try but pigeon fanciers being experts could not answer the questions asked but gave there version of how to cure it so gave up and did some other investigations

 

I have a friend up here that goes to all training tosses and all races and has never had YBs, members in the club have had it but he seems to dodge it every year (5yrs) WHY?

I have looked at everything he does and gives his birds and there are several interesting products and ideas which seam to help

I have copied everything he does and like him I have NEVER had YBs

I am still trying to get to the bottom of it as everyone round about him has been affected

 

I also know it destroys the Federation YB numbers and certainly adds to the losses as fanciers cannot get there birds back in quickly enough and the end result is huge losses

Careful Ian you will be accused of fibbing ... As to why one should be fibbing remains another mystery.

 

As for my, though never had have it, I would be interested as to what, why and how your mate goes about it. Maybe he does some things the same as me. Take it as read I certainly wouldn't boo - hoo it.

My mate and I have had this conversation before,YBS seems to raise its ugly head the same time as you start getting moths in the loft ?

put your methods up ian we can only try it m8 we might learn something as i have tried everything i know and still get it with early bred yb and latebreds raced and unraced but always just after i vaccinate them thought about not vaccinating the latebreds till start of next season but then you risk full blown pmv cant win and prevention is always better than cure in my book

Problem is I do not have enough reports from fanciers got 2 today that is showing I should look at another avenue (which is within my scope)

 

One way or another there is something keeping YBs at bay or some people are very lucky but after 5yrs I don't think it's luck
