I have a hen that is 17 years old. She doesn't lay anymore but still looks a picture of health. Was wandering what was the oldest you guys and gals have had them live for?

When my father passed away in 2006 we had to clear the house and everything had a loft with old favourites in

Disposed off a wonderful hen that was 22 yo

Still regret that as I write

a 12 year old che pied cock that we got when i first started in 2004 . he is a family pet and full of character.

Yes she is full of character she still shows off to me when I speak to her dropping her wings and brushing her tail. It just shows to me that happiness at home goes a long long way to performance.

Mind my Da and Uncle, had a right dark Stichelbaut cock, double rung with a green and a gold colour BELG ring..

Was nicked named 'Hoppy' as it had arthritis in one leg.. Lived till 22.. Brilliant days growing up at the doos

An old cock in the stock loft bred in 2001, a cheq pied hen from the first ones when we started racing in 2004, and we have 3 retired racers 2005 rung - all cocks. One is in the stock loft, one flies out with the racers and one is a favourite. Apart from the 15 year old, the others don't look old at all, I hate big wattles and they don't have them - a bonus!

My old hen is paired to a 2001 rung cock. So she has a toy boy!!
