hotrod Posted May 24, 2016 Report Posted May 24, 2016 Now you know what a White Mealy looks like. Been in the pigeon game for 40 years and I've never heard of that colour ,in fact I don't think there is such a colour . Easily get this colour from a red and a grizzle
Bryngwynt Lofts Posted May 24, 2016 Author Report Posted May 24, 2016 The hen is bred from a cheq white flight cock and a dark pied white flight. Not sure where the White grizzle came through.

billt Posted May 24, 2016 Report Posted May 24, 2016 Have seen a few White Mealies over the years I've had pigeons, don't ask how long, it's frightening , Mealies are rare with me, I last bred one more than 30yrs. ago and he was a cracker, won three y/bird races in a row
paddymac Posted May 24, 2016 Report Posted May 24, 2016 What colour do you call this a Mealy ?Have to agree with a few of the others, its a red grizzle
Kyleakin Lofts Posted May 24, 2016 Report Posted May 24, 2016 Looks very white, so perhaps some grizzle in there or gay pied. It may also just be flashback. Called it in one. I have red grizzles like this in the loft from time to time. The grizzle masks the cheq, but the bars come through making it look like a mealy. In mine, some blue comes through as they age.
