George this partnership have seen other fanciers fly like .*expletive removed* for one ,two, even three seasons. But the MACS have been doing it for 30yrs + . And not just one pigeon at the front of the fed but most of the time a small team :) . Thank. .*expletive removed* they're not in our section. :emoticon-0136-giggle: :emoticon-0136-giggle:

In the 70s or 80 s they were just another national winner , and I was a hell of a lot younger surrounded by nat winners in East Lothian .

I am not knocking these guys and certainly not their performances just trying to point out if the results are,nt out there you won't know much about them .

I think they (initially George) started to fly well after the introduction of the Busschaerts about 1979. Following that and after a National win the distance birds were sold. At that time when I asked George why he was selling good distance pigeons he said he wanted pigeons which he could time every week not just on the odd occasion. Thereafter specialisation started concentrating on what they now do to perfection.

Lol, aye the cranks will make anything up Paul to try and take an edge off your fantastic flying. I can name 4 clubs in better locations than you in your own fed lol. :emoticon-0137-clapping: :emoticon-0137-clapping:

Cranks is just a phrase I use Geo for guys not using their heed .( theres no malice in my statement ) :emoticon-0136-giggle: Location has a lot to do with sprint racing, I agree , but if everyone round about you is getting blown out the water then you are definitely doing something right. The Macs have blown the opposition out the water in the Lanarkshire fed, consistently for decades. By the way, these guys are pros at this game, there lies the secret to their success, dedication and hard work and obviously the right tools for the job. You could bring the likes of Tommy Blair and John McNeil into the equation as well, dedicated, professional, allround fanciers with records that are unbelievable and second to none.

Said it before and al say it again, the Mac's are the best doomen in Britain and probably Europe.

Though they've most probably got the best doos as well it canny be proven, to establish the best sprint pigeons the birds would need to be given to a Top fancier to race to the same location. Don't mean wan or two doos, I mean 20 or 30 of each family entered all racing against each other and performances recorded. jmo.

I don't think that's a statement that can be justified by you, I or anyone John.

There's no such thing as a best dooman in Scotland,Britain,Europe, the world, the universe etc. Far too many factors to consider in my opinion.

That said-the Mac's are top doomen, without question the best inland fliers ever in Lanarkshire and their birds would make an impact in most lofts :emoticon-0137-clapping:

Listen the post wasnt about getting a slap on the back, or an ego trip, we know what we are all about, i just put that up as FACTS and let people decide, and if others have opinions about a better alround record thats fine,, gladly shake their hand, but what i wont here is location,,and other excuses,, when for 30 years we have had full clubs N S E W of us.. and thats at every distance..

also if it was just down to us,, system, loft etc how do you explain

3 x 1st lanarkshire Feds 2015 outside our loft

1st Fife Fed

1st North west Fed

1st Almond Valley Fed

1st MNFC

1st Durham combine

guts of £5000 won in breeder buyers down south

plus over 60 lanarkshire Fed prizes by others

plus a host of club winners , scotland, england, wales

Derby Race winner in the USA

all in 2015. all with our bloodlines

the Doos deserve the credit , not all us.
