gulkie Posted September 16, 2014 Report Posted September 16, 2014 Going by the results of the feds that flew the east routes what makes youGuys think next year will be any Better down the east than the west????
JohnQuinn Posted September 16, 2014 Report Posted September 16, 2014 Personally i wish the members come with good race points and not a route. There are race points that have far better records than others on both sides of the country and my wish is neither East or West is voted to hold all the races. Being the only man in the room without a vote Wishes are all i have :-/

peter2010 Posted September 16, 2014 Report Posted September 16, 2014 For youngbirds I would be happy with 7 races from about 100 miles as it would mean you could start your youngbirds when u like and also guys who's birds come down with sickness don't have to worry about rushing them back as the distance usually gets further and this would also help the birdage the following year this is jmo

peter2010 Posted September 16, 2014 Report Posted September 16, 2014 Peter/bob/Rab any young bird-old bird that falls ill will only do so due to fancier not being diligent Thats crap because it doesn't matter how DILIGENT a person is it will not stop there birds getting ybs so that statement is well off the mark
William Reid Posted September 16, 2014 Report Posted September 16, 2014 Thats crap because it doesn't matter how DILIGENT a person is it will not stop there birds getting ybs so that statement is well off the markDon't get upset Robert . Ybs no such thing . Evaluation takes millions of years. So you like other pigeon men think pigeons can fast forward something new .

eastcoaster Posted September 16, 2014 Report Posted September 16, 2014 I'd like that aswellAlso of the same opinion but with 2 x 160 ml races near the end of programme .
gulkie Posted September 17, 2014 Report Posted September 17, 2014 Also of the same opinion but with 2 x 160 ml races near the end of programme .Only thing with your sugestion would be a jump of approx 70 miles i think A race inbetween Otterburn And a 150 miles would be Better And 6races isEnough OMO.

Fewer young bird races earlier in the season will mean less ready meals for the peregrine falcon. They have reached the stage they are at now as we have fed them.
dal2 Posted September 17, 2014 Report Posted September 17, 2014 Should yb racing start when the old bird nats start?
Guest bigda Posted September 17, 2014 Report Posted September 17, 2014 (edited) THIS ABOUT TRYING TO HELP THE FEDERATION HERE IF WE KEEP THE YOUNG BIRDS TO THE 100 MILE MARK, AND HAVE A CHOICE AS WHAT SITE TO USE, TO FLY FROM EAST OR WEST IF THE WIND IS FROM WEST WE FLY FROM THE WEST AREA, AND IF EAST WIND WE FLY FROM A EAST RACE POINT, we are trying to build a team up here to help with cost for our federation a federation that has to offer the best racing for the Lanarkshire birds not what is best for any other Federation here, if you want further you can go with others that will take you if we can help save some 4,000 young birds in the first year we have helped big time, and costs will be at a minimum for every member. the Jumping Jacks need to keep there hand downs at agms and "think" about the federation AS THE 500 BRIDS THEY PLAY ABOUT WITH, AINT GOING TO CONTROL THE FEDERATION ANY MORE:emoticon-0126-nerd: Edited September 17, 2014 by bigda

geordie1234 Posted September 17, 2014 Report Posted September 17, 2014 Should yb racing start when the old bird nats start?Said this the other day... as soon as the old bird nats start the fed should have old bird and young bird racing for the next 8 weeks then season doon and locked down for the winter..
JohnQuinn Posted September 17, 2014 Report Posted September 17, 2014 john personally i think you as president should be looking for a venue that has the capacity to cater for the 400 plus members :animatedpigeons: If i was handing our £20 notes at the door we still wouldn't get a full turn out Tommy, keep it real mate. Why would you not have a vote John, you as a member are entitled to a vote, then as President you have a casting vote if it comes to a tie Ave never thought it right that a president votes on proposals, but will certainly use my casting vote if required.
