Big Davie Posted May 5, 2014 Report Posted May 5, 2014 Best of luck to those who went, hope it turns out a good race for you with good returns
Guest TAMMY_1 Posted May 5, 2014 Report Posted May 5, 2014 Looks like Big G gonna have a big shortfall to make up hehe aye as bigda said he will have to dig deep
Guest TAMMY_1 Posted May 5, 2014 Report Posted May 5, 2014 you are correct tam, and if this race runs at a lost, who foots the bill, hope this then dosent makes it way to the AGM BUISNESS, as a loss, if there is a short fall hope the organizer can take up the slack. AND AT A ESTIMATE IT WILL COST ABOUT £300 FOR DEV AND DRIVER 600 DOOS TO BREAK EVEN not very often you are right Danny but have to say on this occasion you could be correct as to a loss
Guest chad3646 Posted May 5, 2014 Report Posted May 5, 2014 not everything is about making a profit, hope use have a good race
Delboy Posted May 5, 2014 Report Posted May 5, 2014 Seems to be a good race, well done the organisers.

Guest Gareth Rankin Posted May 5, 2014 Report Posted May 5, 2014 The sun broke through the back of 2 and we have had a wonderful afternoonStrong southerly wind Returns should be very goodReturns are good and although my own doos didn't arrive like some others, I have 10/11, velocity 1416 approx. Know of one fancier that sent 4 doos and timed them all in a 90 secs, doing a velocity of 1450+ approx. Pitty more fanciers didn't send.
geordie1234 Posted May 5, 2014 Report Posted May 5, 2014 Good to see it was a good race. Would like to go but it's a long season especially for the smaller team guys.
Guest bigda Posted May 5, 2014 Report Posted May 5, 2014 not everything is about making a profit, hope use have a good race just a prep for the national minded what odds would you give me that most birds sent belong to the national members in the lanarkshire fed, and any that went from out side the fed belong to nat men. a know there next move even before they do it with training running at a loss, we now have another hair brain scheme, loosing money

frank-123 Posted May 5, 2014 Report Posted May 5, 2014 Personally I wouldn't run any sales or races. I would just bump the membership fee up. Said that at the time of getting new transporter. With the amount of work these fed officials put in trying to keep costs down I guess they will be wondering if it is really worth all the effort. Today's race would have been successful if Saturdays race wasn't so difficult for lots of members.
