Henrik Posted December 30, 2013 Report Posted December 30, 2013 I dont fancy going to Portsmouth,Well mibe you should have put somr thought into it and proposed a race programme then as they have to be in writing this year as passed at the last AGM, nae shouting out this n that at the meeting, also its no for the Solway, its for everyone, bang in the middle of the country so should suit any Feds whether they fly East or West.

bullcock Posted December 30, 2013 Report Posted December 30, 2013 History over the last 5 or 6 years has shown poor returns from the centre of the country in inlands, Newbury, Bovingdon, Cheltham, most races from Eastbourne and Maidstone have been good for returns, alsoNewbury is a setup race for the Gold Cup and Tours races, and Eastbourne or Maidstone are setup races for Ypres and in my opinion helps make for a successful Ypres, having the 2nd inland from the centre of the country is a setup for Clermont, and if history repeats itself will serve no other purpose but more poor returns, affecting the Clermont birdage, we have seen this for years, poor returns from the 1st inland killing the birdage for the Gold Cup, I think poor returns from Portsmouth would affect Clermont, but only time will tell. Buckingham for the 1st inland? it is a bit shorter than Newbury, but again time will tell if returns are good.
sammy Posted December 30, 2013 Report Posted December 30, 2013 why are the dues going up when the secretarys job is part time
bullcock Posted December 30, 2013 Report Posted December 30, 2013 why are the dues going up when the secretarys job is part timeThe Secretary's job going part time is only a proposal at this point.P.S. not happy with the proposal to put pool money up to 10%

yeboah Posted December 30, 2013 Report Posted December 30, 2013 Wee bit of topic but, the diploma's are p*ss poor quality this year r they not !Worst quality Diplomas since I first won in 1974A Disgrace in an understatement
bigjamie Posted December 30, 2013 Report Posted December 30, 2013 with the money that lots got and there pennie pinching with cheap diplomas
bullcock Posted December 30, 2013 Report Posted December 30, 2013 If poor quality diplomas is the major topic of discussion before the AGM, we have cracked it and have nothing else to worry about.
Delboy Posted December 30, 2013 Report Posted December 30, 2013 Worst quality Diplomas since I first won in 1974A Disgrace in an understatement Totally agree Mick but its all our own fault, we accepted another secretary that doesn't know the tradition of the SNFC and what it stands for. The best secretaries in the past have had an affinity with the SNFC and indeed were good nat.fanciers in their own right or at least had strong family connections to the SNFC.I cant blame Andy Garven for anything, he has done the job asked of him. Now he has retired its up to the members to get the professionalism back to the once biggest, most prestigious club in Britain, so get off yer azz and lets all attend the agm AND GET IT SORTED.
