do any birds get reported? where have the other 500 gone?

Just back from costa tiguise. Lanzarote , seen a gay blue pied with the wild ones with an ets ring on it ,it looked an older bird with bigish wattles ,maybe lost last year or year before, it visited my hotel every morn for a drink from the fresh water children's pool , while lying sunbathing on Sunday seen it circling high above our hotel , then a perigrine had a go at it ,and both disappeared behind the hotel , but it never got it as it was still there on Wednesday morn just before I left for the airport .

the canary islands create the confusion for the youngsters, but once they have confronted there fear of the ocean then usually some good racing ahead :emoticon-0167-beer::emoticon-0123-party:

we must bear in mind, it is the atlantic ocean these pigeons are crossing... not the river tay or river forth, and even these two rivers could cause havoc when training our youngsters sometimes! :emoticon-0138-thinking:

I agree wullie ,I've had youngsters reported in Helensburgh. About 5 miles accross the water from me , I can see it from my bedroom window , but they won't come back accross if the go down the north side of the river from training well some don't anyway . Ps I was just pointing out where some end up in my last post .
