Walter swanston Posted August 16, 2013 Report Posted August 16, 2013 The happiness, enthusiasm and cheerfulness on this site is quite infectious, how can you tell the difference between a pigeon fancier and a greetin faced got.
yeboah Posted August 16, 2013 Report Posted August 16, 2013 From a personal point I know that when my system was away for 3-4weeks getting battery replacement ,ended up on first name terms with the guy at unikon greetin wanting ma system back as it felt like a return to the stone ages when race day came round ( race sheets, no printouts ,catching birds on race day ) Now it's back Happy Days although do agree we are being ripped off .
WulDon Posted August 17, 2013 Report Posted August 17, 2013 rubbers... only any good for controlling child birth these days!!! lol :emoticon-0136-giggle:

Guest paulrstokes Posted August 17, 2013 Report Posted August 17, 2013 Stuart I wonder if they would still be against it if you ofrfered to try and get a granht so they can all have one for free

Fair Play Posted August 17, 2013 Report Posted August 17, 2013 Don't have a problem with ETS although most of our club use T3's only thing I have against them is having to change their set and strike times when doing the results when t3 is standard
tigger ritchie Posted August 17, 2013 Report Posted August 17, 2013 my thoughts exactlyThat s right the club payed for your clock batt
MIK Posted August 17, 2013 Report Posted August 17, 2013 I just got the Ets Mega system this year....but i havnt set it up yet. I did use it for OBs but hand balled them over pad when they came into loft. I sent to my first YB race last week and used rubbers & T3. I just wasnt prepared to pay 40/50 squid on ets rings. Its either breed less YBs or use T3 for me as the price of rings is shocking. But i will use it for OBs. atbMick
hawked again Posted August 17, 2013 Report Posted August 17, 2013 my thoughts exactly And me. When we first got it they told us that we got a free club kit. After a year or two they then told us it was on loan and to use it we need to contact them for codes each year. I assume then if something goes wrong with the club kit they will replace it free of charge seeing as it is theirs and not ours. Got to look on the bright side.

ALF Posted August 17, 2013 Report Posted August 17, 2013 Our club got Unikon ETS through a lottery grant 7 years ago but i would happily hand it back the morra and still enjoy my pigeons using a manual clock...Come to fk people just enjoy your pigeons whatever clock you use

KMCK Posted August 18, 2013 Report Posted August 18, 2013 I have ets it's less stress for the bird IMO no need to catch them on return it also can save you a few seconds , but also on race marking so much quicker aswell to get the birds through, I think if you are not on ets in 5 years you will struggle
Guest TAMMY_1 Posted August 18, 2013 Report Posted August 18, 2013 my club dont have it and got knocked back for a lottery grant ,just wonder how many would have if it was not for the their club getting a lottery grant my old club in Netherburn got a grant a long time ago and we got t3's with it,still have mine but we bought our Bricon ETS and have no doubt it is far better than using rubbers on the birds, definitely a step forward in my opinion Our club got Unikon ETS through a lottery grant 7 years ago but i would happily hand it back the morra and still enjoy my pigeons using a manual clock...Come to fk people just enjoy your pigeons whatever clock you use spot on!!!!

geordie1234 Posted August 18, 2013 Report Posted August 18, 2013 It's a god send for me as my shifts change etc and sometimes can't be there to time in Also the pigeons much prefer it......I ruined two yearlings that were coming well for me with catching them in a stall trap everyweek they ended up taking ten to 15 minutes every time they landed after usually being the first pigeon back for me
THE FIFER Posted August 18, 2013 Report Posted August 18, 2013 the pigeon men who got the e t s system through the lottery grant if they decide to pack in the pigeons who does the system belong to they are to give it to a similar organisation, so another club, that's in the contract
