A few days to go until basket night for the 1st National of the year,

 

Who's going? How many are you sending? and the weather is looking good so far (east wind predicted).

 

Who is your favourite for the open prizes and who are the favourites for section prizes?

 

3 hopefuls going from Cumbernauld barring a training mishap tomorrow. Prep has went well and looking forward to the race.

Trained 14 for it but will handle them on Thursday morning and see how they are, prob go with 8 or 9

 

I reckon we will see Billy Bisland in the top 20 I reckon you will also see Macaloney well in

3 for me 2x2yr,s 1 yearling best hope is my 2nd sect hen from last year but they got hit today by percy but they got lucky (my mate did`nt) training tues/wed so fingers crossed.

Barring mishaps round the loft as the sky's are pretty dangerous now eggs have hatched i will be sending 2 cocks 1 a 4yo that needs to wise up the other a late bred 2yo that i think will win the race going with my life savings on his back :emoticon-0136-giggle:

Cheers mate. I never forgot the words your father said to me when I collected a stray very early on when we started back, Health became our priority after that day :-)and its been onwards and upwards since.

Hope to send 1 if she makes it ok fae Dunbar the morra? She is sitting 19-20 days just now but i put her eggs under another pair and i plan to slip her a yb on wednesday night after i finish work and we will see how it goes???

alan a wee trick i use if a hen lays up to 4 days eary is when she lays the 2nd egg lift them and replace with dummies put the eggs in a safe place not fridge then put them back for the hen to be chipping on basket day
