bullcock Posted April 12, 2013 Report Posted April 12, 2013 We could do as. AV fed does. Saturday /Wednesday/ Saturday/Wednesday. Until they catch up .That could work, but with our own transporter why do we have to "catch up" the world is our oyster and we can do what we want within reason, training starts tomorrow but I am certainly not ready, last year the training went ahead and very few got the benefit from it and we all paid for it, I think this year will be much the same (I hope not), time will tell. then birds going to races unprepared.
johno Posted April 12, 2013 Report Posted April 12, 2013 where do you find convoyers for wed/sat. people may have other arrangements. as to the training it is discussed at the agm every year and is passed the way it is. if it is not suitable then why was it not brought up at the agm.

Convoyers ? Yes forgot to mention if they were available to take the birds , it was just a possibility of how we could miss a race or two and catch up .

JohnQuinn Posted April 14, 2013 Report Posted April 14, 2013 The success of the Dalzell Open race today justifies sticking to our ( Lanarkshire) program, some fanciers have Chosen to Train their doos and others not to, because of the temps in particular, and the overall weather conditions in general. However some fanciers have carried on regardless and who's to say one train of thought is superior to the other
Novice Posted April 14, 2013 Report Posted April 14, 2013 It's unimportant who is right and who is wrong.Unfortunately some have changed while others have persevered. What is really important is the fact that the details published in the BHW are unlikely to be correct for several organisations leading to confusion. It would be good to use this thread to make as much information as possible available to controllers to avoid the confusion which now exists.

tyson Posted April 18, 2013 Author Report Posted April 18, 2013 cheers guys for the info it all helps to aviod problems as with programmes being changed should also say midlothian are going this week from otterburn dont think there will be many on transporter due to lack of training with a lot of members
Blue Chequer Pied Posted April 18, 2013 Report Posted April 18, 2013 Surely any Feds that have changed their programmes i.e start dates will have notified the fancy press and the unions to update their programmes to be published. If not then it could cause real issues with clashing.
tyson Posted April 18, 2013 Author Report Posted April 18, 2013 to late as these programmes had to be in by I think the 1st april or before as I just recieved controllers guide today and there are no changes
