Guest cloud 9 Posted January 25, 2013 Report Posted January 25, 2013 sorry for this little hijack boys , andy just noticed north wales novice no more ,, wot part of north wales were you from , im just dont the road between chester and liverpool
geordie1234 Posted January 25, 2013 Report Posted January 25, 2013 you want to ask any South Wales fanciers what they brought back last year I know many who brought plenty home last year and did not have an issue with illness. You can buy pigeons from anywhere and bring illness into your loft just your luck. Maybe more expierenced fanciers can pick out healthy youngsters. Not saying it wasn't the market pigeons but it's the easiest option to blame them
ghostrider Posted January 25, 2013 Report Posted January 25, 2013 you want to ask any South Wales fanciers what they brought back last year just thinking that myself.you dont know WHAT DISEASE/S your bringing back.were so obsessed with buying foreign pigeons.

andy Burgess Posted January 25, 2013 Report Posted January 25, 2013 there was a lot of birds brought back from belg last year funny thing is only the welsh lofts had this problem never heard of any one else with it i knew a few that admitted it from another area (but didnt do so on open forum)
geordie1234 Posted January 25, 2013 Report Posted January 25, 2013 The truth is Andy sickness is everywhere and very few admit it
bigjamie Posted January 25, 2013 Report Posted January 25, 2013 if i knew someone with there birds not right they would not be going in a panier thats whats wrong nowadays to many folk putting sick and unfit birds away to races
William Reid Posted January 26, 2013 Report Posted January 26, 2013 if i knew someone with there birds not right they would not be going in a panier thats whats wrong nowadays to many folk putting sick and unfit birds away to racesJamie don't want to be a smart ass but every week there will be pigeons that are on the way down or as you say not Right but as long as you are watching your birds that's all you can do health in a pigeon is easy
BLACK W F Posted January 26, 2013 Report Posted January 26, 2013 i knew a few that admitted it from another area (but didnt do so on open forum) maybe they had the prob before they brought back from belg who knows
Blue Chequer Pied Posted January 26, 2013 Report Posted January 26, 2013 The trip I was on last year there must have been around 80 ybs brought back and there was not a single problem with any of them. Everyone flew well with them to boot. This year we are predominantly doing loft visits but will still visit the market. There are lots of vendors that I would not buy from infact a lot I wouldn't even handle. Like everything else your eyes and experience are your merchant.
stevie bannon Posted January 27, 2013 Report Posted January 27, 2013 ive won wi pigeons bought there had 2x1st wi a cock bought there last year old bird racing
Guest H@wkBait Posted January 28, 2013 Report Posted January 28, 2013 Lier pigeon market is like any other market full of crap that they cant sell anywhere else with plenty counterfeit n dodgy deals the joys of buying at markets
stevie bannon Posted January 28, 2013 Report Posted January 28, 2013 loads o good pigeons thats won alot been bought there like anything your eyes are your merchant
Guest H@wkBait Posted January 29, 2013 Report Posted January 29, 2013 Good pigeons dont have to go to a market to be sold n im sure out the thousands of birds they sell every year 1 or 2 might be sum use but thats probably down to the fanciers management n not the crap they bought at market l get better birds of a local fancier n ul even get to see where the birds come from iv seen people at sales n the 1stthing they do is when they go to a pen is pick up the pedigree never mind the pigeon aslong as the ped says so hahaha
