the reason this is happning is a bit like the tortoise and the hare but the race is over at 360 mile the velocity is then set and the tortoise is getting to carry the hare on his back get them all in at 520 mile minimum then that will set the pace of the velocity

Truth be told Danny, very few would fly directly across the north sea from Germany. They would probably still cross around Belgium / France, so in effect the distances, whilst being the accurate race measurements, would not reflect the flown distances.

we must make the races for the shortest flier the same by going across land

in times of old all birds where equal as far as make up was they where all of the same families type now races are set at 380 mile when a sprint pigeon is setting the going rate or velocity of the bird no fault of its own has the equivalent of flying from worcester say another 250 mile more how can that have a fair advantage as i have seen rain on one side of a pavement and dry on the other side what lies ahead of a pigeon on route when there is birds in there sheds standing on one leg asleep

while the race might not be over to them till the next morn this should be adressed

to save face we have already heard from the east guys what they will do if things aint right well i say make it right that you all fly 500 mile and if its to be one doo out all out.

yous are they guys that want birds to have records set that fly with pride lets see you all throw your hat in the ring never mind what the bird will do what will you do for the bird. distance racing is your game not money i have said CELLE IN GERMANY and see where the true bird comes from pi ss about with what you are at you are kidding your self on

You are the perfect example of some one that thinks he knows how to sort pigeon racing out but doesn't race or contributes virtually expletive removed* all to any organisation and has won expletive removed* all too. Unqualified!

right in the middle off the country south off the border about 40-60 miles into england or its about time we started raceing birds down the middle ,then there would nt be the bickering about advatages off raceing down the east and the west

I think alencon and such are quite central compared to falaise/rennes/nantes?

How would the members react to the south getting a better measurement from the breaking point?

Aye Steven yer right mate .i just find that fanciers want to race from A or B. only because it gives them a better mileage not because they get better racing that's the annoying thing ,I really don't give a monkeys where we race from as long as we get good races .

Very interesting alec. Comparing it to the one that i done for the young birds, section A seems to fair better with old birds, as only 1 young bird made it in the top ten. The question has got to be, why, could it be the sheep factor, where young birds tend to stay in a batch, till too late to break? then once they are older they have more confidence to break earlier. It all makes interesting reading, its just a pity that the post gets hijacked to attack people, especially after all the work that the likes of you and i do to give the fanciers the facts of whats happening.

CAnt speak for all the south section but I like to send to the yb nat but only when my team are plentiful!! Since Leicester has been the race point then it has NEVER been better than 50% returns!!! I have had good results in the section before but NOBODY down here sends to the yb nat for open results just the section???

Maybe the drag has got an influence but never seem to get any reported up the east??
