neila Posted January 22, 2013 Report Posted January 22, 2013 yes i do and find them ok, birds take to them ok
OLDYELLOW Posted January 23, 2013 Report Posted January 23, 2013 very good better than the liquid and great for rearing and keeping ecoli at bay which is a big risk early in the year , helps tighten loose droppings as well
b.massey Posted January 23, 2013 Report Posted January 23, 2013 Yeah I am a fan of it also, using it when the yb's are rearing I felt made a good wee difference! I also felt better than putting orego stim in the water! I now put honey and garlic in the days I used to put orego stim, works for me imo
ALF Posted January 23, 2013 Report Posted January 23, 2013 Too expensive for me mine get layer pellets but I do give them oregano tea that I boil up myself
cemetary Posted January 23, 2013 Report Posted January 23, 2013 A think there great for rearing ybs, handfull in the feed all the time.
eastcoaster Posted January 23, 2013 Report Posted January 23, 2013 I have just started using them so i asked at blackpool about the value in them and was very happy what they rekon they can do, now have birds on 50%dep 50% bos pellett;
Wiley Posted January 23, 2013 Report Posted January 23, 2013 What worries me with fanciers feeding this stuff, and putting things in the drinkers to "tighten droppings" is that it appears there being used as a masking agent for something underlying in the bird, as a healthy birds droppings should be "tight all year round". I'm not saying using these pellets is wrong, as with all pellets they have a good level of protein and different percentages of protein throughout the year are good.

lanarkshire lad Posted January 23, 2013 Report Posted January 23, 2013 I tried them for the first time this year while the pigeons were moulting and to be honest I didn't see any difference in the droppings or the pigeons so I wont be in a hurry to use them again.

neila Posted January 23, 2013 Report Posted January 23, 2013 i like to feed my stock birds pellets at first light ,so they digest them quickly to feed the young ,
