it will have to improve 100% before we take time out to visit again to be honest .i know its the first one , but could have held it in my garden and still had space to ride a bicycle around

andy i was standing outside havi n a smoke and my big mate held the door open for a lady with a pram i thought i knew the ladys face but didnt know were from then i realised it was babybird sorry for not introducing myself she was away by the time i realised who she was anyway the show was not for me left after 45 mns will catch you and babybird another time mate

that was us ,arrived around 11.40 ,sat in the cafe 1/2 an hour ,then strolled around 2 or 3 times ,even went to view the sheep , left around 1.15 .no doubt catch up at sometime pal.

Where was the basics stand never seen it ? ,

the show was alright but not very well set out and the need more stalls but not too bad for a £1 entry,

was`nt happy at getting ushered out of the show hall just because they were judging best in show in the other hall. best looking racing doo i seen was in the hens t/w it got 3rd belonging i think to Mr Massey.well done

thats only reason some went , for a beer , i know they didnt like the bar prices tho .dont think Tucker saw anything of the show

Seemed to be a success with 760 birds but waiting for over an hour with my doos in the basket before we were let leave the hall was a bit childish and will not happen to me again.It made the show a farce just as much as the dipped doos in the racing classes.Its a form of cheating and the judges that picked these birds have lost major credability, imo.ps,Tiger, thats the last things I need in my loft, half boiled show/racers lol

Yeah I had a hen that was 3rd through wires old hens..

 

 

Derek the birds on stage were mostly racing birds mate.. 3 tw were a bit questionable for some but all flown birds were won by the racers! Judges done a good job!

Think that was her lovely looker what was she ie sprinter/distance .you get any other cards?

4 of us travelled through together and from what I could see the classes were well supported which was good.

I would have liked more stands but at least with the show being reasonably quiet earlier there was a chance to have a discussion with stall holders without being jostled.

The food was good, the company was good and generally I enjoyed my day.

I did fancy a ewe which had a rather charming smile but resisted temptation.

thought it was pretty poor tbh, maybe the decision to restrict the birds that were allowed to enter the race classes back fired somewhat.

Do you judge the birds for being dipped or is it the name of the fancier they belong to that makes you call them dipped?

 

I seen you handle one of your pals birds and said its a cracker, You followed up by saying you'd have thought it was a dipped do if it was not his!

 

So my question means if that bird was mine rather than your pals would that then make it dipped?

we enjoyed our day never entered any, but next year with a bit of time should have a few thought it was a success and a good venue,well done to the winners

When you judge a pigeon you dont know who belongs to them.If they appear dipped they shouldnt get a ticket as its a racing class.This is a form of cheating and should not be tolerated.ps.It interests me why you were listening to a private conversation.
