Had youngsters down road for there third toss took them to the same spot at 10 mls there first toss was at 7 mls lost 3 cocks first toss 1 cock second toss new they were being split not far from home,they came over the top of me at beattock tonight and i wondered what the hell they doing on this side of the motorway,got home and they had just arrived was 6 down but all worked in,my mate had been down the water fishing and he came in to tell me he saw them go over and swing away to the west as a pair of peregrines were working there young right on line ,so far 2 with tails missing and 2 with flights missing but x now marks the spot o happy days :emoticon-0123-party:

training toss caranwath today at back o ten 54 away

when dark only 19 back pig sick picked one up at gorebridge

thats terrible hope you get the others tommorow , the sport cant sustain these high losses especially after a dreadfull old bird season

Just up fae the loft ma 2nd team are out just now 1st team will be basketed and let go at approx 11.15 fae Carnwath next to the Hamilton trailer to give me some cover all home from yesterday plus another 1 fae sunday so back up to 52

MY DAUGHTER TOSSED 60 THIS MORNING AT 20MILES ON THERE 9TH TOSS

 

THEY HAVE BEEN TO 30MILES AND JUST DROPPING BACK TO 20 NOW ALL HOME FOR 6,45AM :animatedpigeons:

I had 50/52 when i left at 12 been to pick up the wife fae work i'll have a wee bit of lunch then head back down the loft again...

No training today after yesterdays disaster, was fully expecting a few home when i got in from work , huh a grand total of 1, still sixteen short, totally p----d of , put a hell of a lot of work in but was certainly not expecting to lose 16 on their 8th toss ,

two more back here so two down they don't really have an excuse the youngest ones were all back with the first batch

Back up to 40/40 one came back yesterday either hawked under the wing or its hit something and the second one has been reported in Larkhall only a few miles from the lib site just dont get it the wee doo has flown the toss 6 times before

27 tossed from 20 miles (fechan) at 10 45 a.m. so far 1.20 p.m. 2 home fear the worst f*****g sick.

Hope they have worked in walter,its a f- lottery trying to get them into moffat just now the young peregrine are hunting earlier than previous years lib my birds at 7-30 this morning got all but 8 in one batch next 2 2hrs later 1at 2oclock 1 at 3oclock 1 at 5-30 1 at 6-50 and one at 7-10 1 missing, of the late one's today one with part wing missing ,one with part tail missing one with no feathers on front and one that i had to stitch together,pure and utter lottery breeding goes out the window :emoticon-0156-rain:

I have got 21 back last one at 7p.m. hope to get more tomorrow, I hate to appear defeatist but I wonder if all this work, expense and effort is only going to feed peregrine falcons.

Biggest problem and i noticed it again when liberating my yb's this morning they are the only things in the sky it is completely void of bird life ,sad but true walter we are only feeding the falcons .

its unbeleivable the amount of lads ive spoken to today and all had the same exsperience , birds up circle twice then the bassa percie crew and the weans into there birds , where will it all end :emoticon-0156-rain::emoticon-0156-rain::emoticon-0156-rain:
