i use 1 level teaspoon full to two gallons of water for 24 hrs to kill all gut bacteria ,good and bad so you must use probiotics after to put back the good bacteria.

the smallest tub you can get is rather large so we get it and sell it for £3 pound a scoop[comes with tub and is marked 50ml] you get loads for your 3 pound as you only use a little .you can also use as a disinfectent in the loft as well as outside the loft as a ground disinfectant.

for use against foot and mouth disease 1==300

for use against poultry [including avian influ] 1==300

general order 1==160

against bacteria 1==1000

i will take a pic of insructions and post it later.

It's exactly the same as Vircon S - which is £2-£3 for a 50g sachet

active ingredient is Potassium peroxymonosulphate

People are mistaking when they have it, the doos look alright on the outside, but its the inside that counts. ;)

Some are too quick on putting them back into the basket, and thats where they occur the losses. ;)

Disaster of a day,Birds have been training well and also exercising at home freely for an hour plus and eating well ,droppings OK ,let them out Thursday night and they flew really well in a very blustery east wind ,picked the strong first team one's out Friday lunchtime and gave them a light feed all being well ,Of to the marking station and my friend let the second round out to exercise telling me later they flew for one and a half hours but he noticed when called in they did not eat there full measure,when i entered the loft this morning they were sitting about as if they were dying ,i gave them a very light feed with only 4 of 60 not coming forward i then moved them to another section an hour later to prepare for race arrivals and when doing so 5 were sick ,I then said to my friend if the others are at the race-point in this condition things do not look good ,nightfall only got 3 from 17 cannot believe how quick they went down if only they had shown symptoms on Friday they would never have left the loft,one club-mate contacted it last week now mine terrible disease ,has this started since the importing of birds that have been doped to the eyeballs and over use of antibiotics,whatever it certainly f--- up a lot of hard graft :emoticon-0179-headbang:

You have to look at this sickness like us having a bout of the flu, vomiting & diarrhoea subsides but your left with aching limbs and a temperature. Rest is the only cure.

i know theres a few topics on the matter but i carnt make heads and tales off it so could some one break it down for me :D and im a bit slow.

what should i look for to see if i have it ?

how should i treat it ??

and is there a way of to stop getting it again ?

dark green droppings = holding corn = regurgitating corn = young bird sickness

starve 24 hours add a hand full of garden lime to water , ensure you clean all loft up of any spoilt grain = use loft whitener to absorb wet droppings = charcoal tablet birds leave for two hours = feed dupurative with Cinnamon and live natural yoghurt and garden lime and juice of one lemon and a small amount of ground nut oil for 3 days , 2nd day ensure non are holding corn charcoal tablet again , feed on depurative when your sure there digestive systems are working you can soak some green peas in hot water and feed these for two days then revert back to your normal mix . clay pickstones are also good at neutralising the birds digestive systems . Hope this helps :)
