Guest Gareth Rankin Posted July 21, 2011 Report Posted July 21, 2011 Jock Wallace from Ayr won Averancbes in 1977 with a red pigeon as Did Matt Jaimeson in Nantes 1986. Hard to believe there have been so few Reds toad win a national race.
Guest ENDFLIGHT Posted July 21, 2011 Report Posted July 21, 2011 THE FINEST RENNES WINNER I CAN REMEMBER WAS IN 1975 JOCK POOLE NEWMAINS WITH BRAEDALE QUEEN,RED HEN,FLYING 16 HOURS.ONLY TWO BIRDS ON THE DAY.2ND OPEN ON THAT OCCASION WAS McCONNELL BRS WHITBURN WEST LOTHIAN.WHAT A PERFORMANCE!!.THE BLOODLINES OF BRADALE QUEEN WAS THAT OF C S COMBELLACH FROM I,M SURE HE WAS FROM THE CORNWALL AREA .SADLY AT THE TIME OF HIS GREAT WIN JOHN POOLE SHUNNED ALL PUBLICITY WHICH WAS A GREAT SHAME AND VERY SAD,HOWEVER,IT IN NO WAY DETRACTED FROM THIS MARVELOUS GREAT RENNES WINNER :emoticon-0137-clapping:VERY WELL DONE THE LATE JOHN POOLE CHEERS WEE BILLY K.

yeboah Posted July 22, 2011 Report Posted July 22, 2011 i think jackie harkness of newcastleton won rennes with a mealy/red,must of been late 90s 2000?It was a mealy cock, timed by jack wylie as dickie was poorly and housebound ,still one of the finest pigeons i ever had the privilege of handling, the same bloodlines run through jimmy Dal's national winning hen Hoddam Dynamo
Rooster J. Cogburn Posted July 22, 2011 Report Posted July 22, 2011 Favourite Red pigeon I've ever handled was Jimmy Hamilton's 1992 Gold Award winner It was at the loft of Ian "Toddler" Brown-his 1st Section D 13th open Reims was a red chequer hen as well.He had loads of red doos-think they came through Jimmy Feeney and Jimmy Hamilton. He gifted me 2 red chequers and a red when I was still a wean .One of them bred the hen that was my first bird from Clermont last week-hoping this hen has a bright future Toddler Brown was an absolute gentleman and its probably the nicest loft visit I've ever been on
